He was born February 25, 1955 in Galesburg the son of Kenneth Charles and Helen Cole Clifford. He married Kathy Knuth on February 5, 1977 in Galesburg. She survives.<br />
Also surviving is a daughter, Lyndsey (Jonathan) Edwards of Indianapolis, Ind.; a grandson. Rylan Charles Edwards; and another grandson expected in October, a brother, Jim (Betty) Clifford of Altona; five sisters, Anne Liby of Monmouth, Alice (Tom) Anhalt of Burlington, Iowa, Barb (Bob) McCommons of Knoxville, Amy (Brian) Green of Fitchburg, Mass. and Sarah (Eric) Nelson of Galesburg; and a large network of close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his step mother, the late Marlene K. Clifford.<br />
John worked for Butler Manufacturing Company for over 30 years and was working as a sales representative for United Laboratories in St. Charles, Ill. He attended Knoxville schools and graduated from ROVA High School in 1973. He was very active in the Boy Scouts during junior high school. During high school, John worked for Sam McKie Farming of Oneida-he considered him a friend and mentor. He was a member of the Oak Run Golf Club and the Oak Run Golf League on Tuesday nights sponsored by the Parts House. John was a member, deacon and an elder of the First Presbyterian Church. He also played on a city softball league. He enjoyed gardening, yard work and riding his Harley. His friends named him “Mr. Small-talk” because he could and would talk to anyone, anywhere. He loved eating peanuts and watching trains with his grandson Rylan.<br />
Visitation from 4-6 p.m. Saturday September 11, 2010 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel Galesburg. Memorial service celebrating John’s life will be held later at First Presbyterian Church with Rev.   He was born on September 28, 1929 in Plymouth, Ill. to Edward and Viola (Watts) Dwyer.  He married Dorla Jean Schisler on June 21, 1952 in Abingdon.  She preceded him in death on October 12, 2009.<br />
  He is survived by his children, Sheila (and Hugh) Forbes of Media, Lawrence (and Debra) Dwyer of Abingdon, Susan Dwyer of Abingdon and Andrew (and Marsha) Dwyer of Wyoming, Ill.; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.<br />
  He was also preceded in death by his parents and his son-in-law, Paul Shumard.<br />
  He grew up in St. Augustine, where he attended grade school.  He graduated from Avon High School.  He worked at the former Brass Factory in Abingdon for 27 years and also worked at the former K of G Grocery Store in Abingdon at the same time.  He then worked for Holt’s Plumbing in Galesburg and later at Bushnell Tank Company in Bushnell.  He retired in 1984.  He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Abingdon.  He was a past member of the Galesburg Eagles Lodge and the Abingdon Jaycees.  His hobbies included woodworking, especially building birdhouses, working on his farmstead, fishing and hunting.<br />
  Funeral mass will be at 10:00 am Friday, September 10, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Abingdon.  Father William Miller I.C. will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Abingdon Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm Thursday at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel with the praying of the Rosary at 7:30 pm.<br />

He was born July 5, 1921 in Alexis, Ill. the son of Harry G. and Elsie Higgins. He served his country in World War II, where he met his future wives. He married Eileen in England in 1960. He later married Peggy Darville in Galesburg on May 15, 1974.<br />
He is survived by a sister, Maribelle Nordberg of Duluth, Minn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Elsie, his wives, Eileen and Peggy, five sisters, Ruth, Ada, Vivian, Butch, and Marge, and two brothers, Junior and Kike. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews from California, Arizona, Texas, Kansas, Michigan, Indiana, and Minnesota.<br />
Bob enlisted with the Army at the age of 17 and is a very proud World War II veteran. He retired in 1974 from the Galesburg Police Department after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Illinois Policeman&#8217;s Association, NRA Live member, lifetime member of the VFW and a member of the First Baptist Church.<br />
Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday September 7, 2010 in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens with Military Rites by Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post 285. The Rev. Daniel Siems will officiate. There will be no visitation. The family would like to make a special Thank You to Charles Cooley ii for his assistance and care. She graduated from Abingdon High School in 1976. She worked as a bartender for many local pubs including Rail City, Grady’s, and the Roadhouse. Juls loved her grandchildren, enjoyed her flower garden, and was an avid Cub fan.<br />

Robert was a fireman and then an engineer for the C.B.&amp;Q./Burlington Northern Railroad for 43 years, retiring October of 1993. He graduated from Alexis High School. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Robert enjoyed fishing, R.V. traveling, and gardening. He especially loved his family and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.<br />
He served in the United States Navy for four years during the Korean War.<br />
Funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, September 3, 2010 in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. Dr. Tom Larsen will officiate. Visitation will be noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the chapel. She is survived by three daughters, Linda O’Dean of Galesburg, Kim Davis of Madison, Wis., and Karen (and Ron) Hamilton of Onalaska, Wis., a daughter-in-law, Linda Davis Ure of Temecula, Calif., eight grandchildren, Tyler Hamilton of Onalaska, Wis., John O’Dean and Julie Galyean, both of Galesburg, Michael (and Angela) O’Dean of Gurnee, Ill., Brian Sebben of Naperville, Ill., Lindsay Sebben of Holmen, Wis., Ronni Hamilton of Hopkins, Minn., and Greg Davis of Sebastopol, Calif., eight great grandchildren, Courtney Sargeant, Taylor Galyean, Lucas Galyean, twins, Hannah and Carter Galyean, Marek O’Dean, and Collin and Preston Davis, a brother, Philip Wagher of Raleigh, S.C., and a sister, Norma J. Johnson of Tucson, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, John F. Davis, a grandson, Todd Davis, a granddaughter, Kelly O’Dean, a brother, Stewart Wagher, and two sisters, Shirley Weech and Joyce Reem.<br />
Berneice worked mostly in the clerical field at Caterpillar, Burlington Truck Lines, and the Farm Bureau. She also worked in food service for School District 205, Elmer’s Spudnut Shop, and Carl Sandburg College. She retired in 1983.<br />
She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, where she was a deaconess, a member of the Church Circle, and Hilltoppers. She also was involved with GMG Girls and was a Bible School Teacher. Berneice was a member of the Sewing Club, Viking Club in Moline, Ill., Rox’s Keyboard Club in Peoria, Ill., J &amp; B Music Club in Moline, and was past president of the Home Culture Club.<br />
She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1937 and from Comptometer Operator School.<br />
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday, September 3, 2010 in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. Kirk Kendall will officiate. Visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at the chapel. She graduated from Galesburg High School. Donna was a cashier at K-Mart for three years retiring May 1, 2005. She loved crocheting, playing the guitar and all types of games.<br />
Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday August 31, 2010 at Westfall Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Memorials may be made the Huntington’s Society or the charity of the donor’s choice.</p>

She was born May 3, 1928 in Galesburg, the daughter of George H. and Myrtle E. Johnson Harbac. She married Harry G. Higgins, Jr. She later married Donald W. Damitz on April 5, 1952 in Galesburg. He survives.<br />
Also surviving are two sons, Dennis G. (and Dianna ) Higgins of Oquawka, Ill. and Darryl (and Jean ) Damitz of Little York, Ill., a daughter, Donna Damitz of Galesburg, seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and a brother, R. Wayne (and Donna) Harbac of Galesburg. She was preceded in death by her parents and a step son, Bill.<br />
Maxine worked as a billing clerk for Brown Specialty in Galesburg for several years before retiring in 1990. She graduated from Galesburg High School. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church.<br />
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 30, 2010 in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. John Carlson will officiate. Visitation will be 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the chapel. Burial will be in Olive-Holeman Cemetery in rural Avon. Memorials may be made to Faith United Methodist Church. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.</p>
