He was born on June 29, 1919 in Canton IL to John and Myrtle (Cook) Lamm. He married Susie A. Marsh in Bushnell IL on February 2, 1946. She preceded him in death on March 23, 1992.
He is survived by a son, Roger (and Linda) Lamm of Galesburg, IL, four sisters, Evelyn Hallesey of Macomb, IL, Lillian Kelly of Galesburg, IL, Phyllis Shaleo of Conifer, CO and Doris Smith of Marseilles, IL, nieces and nephews.
He was a labor supervisor for Gunther Construction Company in Galesburg for 18 years then McDougal-Hartman Construction Company in Peoria for 16 years. He retired in 1970.
He was a member of Moose Lodge #880, the Abingdon American Legion Post #381, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2257 and the Disabled American Veterans. He served in the Army during World War II.
His funeral will be 1:30 PM Monday December 3, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with David Scholl officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg. Military honors will be provided by the Harry E. Wiles American Legion Post #381. Visitation will be from 12:30 P.M. to 1:30 P.M. Monday at the Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Galesburg Rescue Mission.

He was born on December 21,1942 in Galesburg to Oscar and Mabel (Lindeen) Nelson. He married Janeth Beth Cox in Abingdon IL on January 27, 1968. She survives.
Also surviving are a son, Christopher Nelson of Galesburg, IL; two daughters, Jennifer Nelson and Julie (and Chuck) Hook, both of Galesburg, IL; a sister, Maribelle (and Ray) Krause of Bloomington, MN; four brothers, Eugene Nelson of Galesburg, IL, DeLoyd (and Nancy) Nelson, Elliott Nelson and Quentin Nelson, all of Alexis, IL and four grandchildren.
He worked for Admiral Division of Maytag for 30 years, retiring in 1993. He also farmed in the Henderson Grove, IL area for many years. He was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church in Henderson Grove and a member of the International Association of Aerospace Workers #2063. He served in the Army Reserve from 1962 to 1968.
His funeral will be 1:30 PM Saturday December 1, 2001 at the Messiah Lutheran Church with Mrs. Eleanor Landon and Rev. Kurt Carlsen officiating. Burial will be in Henderson Grove Cemetery, Henderson Grove. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday November 30,2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. He was born on April 23, 1939 in Williamsfield IL to William Aaron and Eileen A. (Eldridge) German. He married Sonja E. Knight in Galesburg on May 10, 1959. She survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Beth (and David) Burrows of Galesburg, IL, a son, W. Scott (and Linda) Germ of Abingdon, IL, a sister, Dana (and Robert) Culver of Yorkville, IL, a brother, Otto (and Mary Jo) German of Knoxville, IL and two grandchildren, Aaron Wesley Burrows and Abigail Christine Burrows, both of Galesburg, IL. A sister, Mieda Frederickson, and a brother, Robert German, preceded him in death.
He was a patrolman for the Galesburg Police Department for 29 years, retiring in 1989. He then worked part time for the Galesburg Park Department from 1995 to the present. He was a member of the Illinois Police Benevolent and Protective Association, the Illinois Police Association, a past member of the Western Illinois Antique Car Club and a collector of over 1,000 Santa Claus.
His funeral will be 10:00 AM Saturday December 1, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Frederick E. Larner officiating. Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday November 30, 2001 at the Chapel. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.

She was born on August 2, 1902 in Galesburg top Harry and Grace (Beyrau) Daniels. She had been married to Joe Ehrhart. She married Jasper D. Engles in Galesburg on August 16, 1972. He survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Rhonda (and Bert) Pagel of Keokuk, IA; a step-son, Jasper D. "Butch" (and Marilyn "Missy") Engle, Jr. of Monmouth, IL; four step-daughters, Lorie Engle of Galesburg, IL, Pam Miller of St. James, MO, Patricia "Patty" Engle and Tammy (and Frank) Wall, both of Monmouth, IL; two sisters, Eloise (and Richard) Hill and Ellen Weinberg, both of Galesburg, IL; 19 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. A brother, Jim Daniels, and a sister, Dolly Foster preceded her in death.
She was a 1955 graduate of Galesburg High School and a member of the Faith United Methodist Church, Galesburg. She liked to shop, go to yard sales, crochet, solve puzzles and read books. She collected bears and porcelain dolls. She loved to make crafts for her children.
Her funeral will be 1:30 PM Friday November 30, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Kevin Treptow officiating. Burial will be in Warren County Hope Cemetery, Alexis. He was born on April 7, 1907 in IA. He had been married to Ana McCallister. He married Agnes Villager in Galesburg on May 11, 1981. She survives.
He worked at Admiral Division of Maytag for 24 years. He was a member of the Corpus Christi Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society. He served in the Merchant Marines for eight years.
He is also survived by a son, Donald Shane of Atlanta, GA, one grandchild and two great grandchildren. Two sisters and a stepsister preceded him in death.
His funeral will be 3:30 PM Friday November 30, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Thomas Seibert officiating. Visitation will be from 2:30 P.M. to 3:30 P.M. Friday at the Chapel. Memorials may be made to charity of the donor’s choice.

Also surviving are five sons, Harold Jones of Clarksville, TN, David Stoneking of FL, Joe (and Kay) Stoneking of Colorado Springs, CO, Rodney Stoneking of Denver, CO and William (and Mary) Stoneking of Madison, WI; five daughters, Phyllis Collopy of Salt Lake City, UT, Karen (and Dale) Feathers of Davenport, IA, Violet (and John) Olson of Colorado Springs, CO, Sharon Potts of Cape Fair, MO and Rita (and Ralph) Spencer of Galesburg, IL; a brother, John Stoneking of Knoxville, IL; a sister, Helen Ebbing of Galesburg, IL; 28 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. A brother, a daughter, Janice Fox, and four grandchildren preceded him in death.
He was a machinist for Burlington Northern Railroad for 37 years, retiring in 1982.
He was a member of the V.F.W. in Burlington IA, a past member of the Galesburg American Legion Post #285 and a member of the American Legion Post in Burlington IA. He served in the Air Force during World War II where he received a Purple Heart, Silver Star and several other decorations.
His funeral will be 10:00 AM Friday November 30, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Bruce Naylor officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg. He was born on February 16, 1941 in Burlington IA to Paul Gilbert and Belva (Brewer) Bell.
He is survived by his mother, Belva Bell of Stronghurst, IL; three sons, Daryl Bell of Galesburg, IL, Montgomery Bell and Samuel Bell, both of Chicago, IL; a daughter, Carolyn Streeter of Galva, IL; two brothers, Charles Bell of Stronghurst, IL and David Bell of Oquawka, IL: a sister, Dessa Rodeffer of Stronghurst, Il; a special friend with whom he shared his home, Teresa Tinkham of Galesburg, IL and three grandchildren.
He first worked at the former First National Bank from 1968-1973. He owned and operated the Galesburg Shopper from 1973-1987, then owned Bell Publishing from 1987-1992. He later owned Manchester Construction Company from 1992 to present. He graduated from Stronghurst High School in 1959 and Carl Sandburg College.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the Lions Club, the Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post #285 and the PBOE Elks Lodge #894. He served in the US Marine Corp from 1959-1963 as Corporal.
His funeral will be 10:00 AM Thursday November 29, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Jim Stovall officiating. Burial will be in South Henderson Cemetery, Biggsville IL. Sterling IL; a sister, Joy Watters of Patterson IL and seven grandchildren.
He was a shop foreman at Schwarzentraub Implement of Galva IL. Prior to that he was a manager for United Feed in Wataga, IL. He was a member of the Wataga Lions Club, Elks Lodge #894, Moose Lodge #880 and the Victoria American Legion. He served on the Wataga Town Board and was a member of the Wataga Volunteer Fire Department. He served in the Army during the Vietnam Conflict.
His funeral will be 1:30 PM Thursday November 29, 2001 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Altona IL, with Rev. Timothy Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Oneida Cemetery, Oneida. A granddaughter, Alaina Haneghan, and a sister, Anna Strange, preceded him in death, both in 1994.
He was a truck driver for Munson Transportation for 20 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Monmouth IL.

She is survived by a daughter In Law, Gaye Anderson of Savannah, GA, two sisters, Mildred Underwood of Hot Springs, AR and Shirley Underwood of San Francisco, CA, a granddaughter, Claire Underwood Anderson of Ukiah, CA, several nieces and nephews. A son, Richard C. Underwood, preceded her in death on December 11, 1971.
She was a graduate of Galesburg High School and Brown’s Business College. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Galesburg.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday November 28, 2001 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Galesburg, with Rev. Frederick E. Larner officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Memorials may be made to the First Lutheran Church.
