He was born on July 31, 1947 in Sandoval IL to George R. and Bernita (Carter) Bassett. He married Dawn McRae-Bassett-McLean in 1971 in St. Louis MO. He later married Patricia Hook on November 3, 2001 in Altona IL. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Bernita Organ of Sandoval, IL, three sons, David Bassett of St. Louis, MO, Randy Bassett of Chicago, IL and Anthony Voorhees of Altona, IL, two daughters, Shelby (and Dan) Attaway of Galesburg, IL and Gretchan (and Mark) Hazen of Altona, IL, three grandchildren. A son, Daniel Aubuchon, preceded him in death in 1999.
He worked as a Correctional Officer for the State of Illinois Department of Corrections at the Centralia Prison in Centralia IL for thirteen years. He was currently working.
He graduated from Sandoval High School in Sandoval IL in 1965. He graduated from St. Louis University in St. Louis MO with a Business degree in 1969. He was of the Lutheran faith. He was a Shriner. He lived in Salem IL before moving to Altona IL months ago.
He served in the Army.
His funeral will be Monday February 4, 2002 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Timothy Anderson officiating. Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Sunday February 3, 2002 at the Chapel. Memorials may be made to Knox County Humane Society.

He was born on July 25, 1948 in Canton IL to Clair W. and LoRena (Pettit) May. He married Deborah Wickert in Astoria IL on November 1, 1969. She survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Janice (and Richard) Abel of New Windsor, IL, Tina (and Ric) Campos and Melissa (and Edward) Devoss, both of Galesburg, IL, a sister, Sandra (and Roger) Strickler of Effingham, IL and two grandchildren.
He was a driver for Moorman Manufacturing Company in Alpha for 16 years. He retired in May of 1987. He was a 1966 graduate of Lewistown High School and earned his associate’s degree from Spoon River College. He was a member of First Church of the Open Bible, Galesburg.
His funeral will be 11:30 AM Saturday February 2, 2002 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Ted Gillum officiating. Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg. Visitation will be from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. Saturday at the Chapel. Memorials may be made to Western Illinois Hemo-Dialysis Unit at Galesburg Cottage Hospital.

She was born March 22, 1909 in Galesburg, the daughter of C. Emil and Jennie Johnson Swanson. She married Forrest A. Burg on October 14, 1941 in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on March 28, 1993.
She is survived by several cousins.
She was a secretary for Galesburg High School for 9 years and then for the former Intra State Telephone Company for 15 years. She was a graduate of Galesburg High School. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Galesburg.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Saturday February 2, 2002 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Galesburg, with Rev. Paul Johnson officiating. Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.

He was born on September 7, 1940 in Oakwood MO to John W. and Thelma (Simpson) Dunham, Sr. He married Sara Ruark in Galesburg on September 12, 1966. She survives.
Also surviving are a son, John Dunham of Albuquerque, NM, three daughters, Robin (and David) Haley of Partlow, VA, Liz (and Robert) Schultz and Tracy Dunham, both of Galesburg, IL, three brothers, Robert Dunham and Larry (and Peggy) Martin, both of Knoxville, IL and David (and Jackie) Dunham of Galesburg, IL, two sisters, Ethel Mae Shelton of Dallas, TX and Helen Simmons of Columbus, OH and two grandsons.
He worked for the Park Drive Dairy for 15 years, was manager of Sanipro for 12 years, and worked at the Galesburg Wareco stations for 5 years. He attended Galesburg schools and lived most of his life here.
His funeral will be 2:00 PM Monday February 4, 2002 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Pastor Robert Eshleman officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Galesburg. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Monday at the Chapel. Memorials may be made to the family.

She was born on January 16, 1917 in Abingdon IL to Jesse C. and Nora L. (Lance) Paull. She married Keeon V.H. Johnson in Belleville IL on August 19, 1964. He preceded her in death on January 30, 1994.
She is survived by three step-sons, Gary (and Phyllis) Johnson of Fairview Heights, IL, K. Donald (and Jackie) Johnson and Robert Johnson, both of Galesburg, IL, a brother, Charles ‘Chub’ Paull of Roseville, IL, eight step-grandchildren, 19 step-great grandchildren and three step-great great grandchildren . A brother, Ted Paull, preceded her in death.
She worked in the administration office at the former Galesburg Mental Health Center for several years. She was a member of the Abingdon United Methodist Church and American Legion Post #285. She served in the Navy during World War II.

She was born on March 28, 1914 in Versailles IL to William O. and Dora I. (Douglas) Harding. She married James C. Fox in Galesburg on May 31, 1934. He preceded her in death. She then married John F. Stacel in Qunicy IL on November 19, 1955. He preceded her in death on February 15, 1986.
She is survived by a daughter, Betty (and Don) Godsil of Galesburg, IL and a brother, Edwin Harding of Galesburg, IL. Four brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.
She worked at Admiral Division of Maytag for 15 years, retiring in 1962. She also worked as an elevator operator in the Hill Arcade for 20 years. She was a member of the Colonial Baptist Church in Galesburg.
Her funeral will be 10:00 AM Tuesday January 29, 2002 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Pastor Robert Eshleman officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg. She was a cook and baker at the former Hotel Custer and Cook Elementary School. She then cooked at the Huddle Restaurant for 20 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
