Mrs. Audrey Graves Victoriano

80, of 28896 Cypress Point Drive Menifee, CA, died at 12:45 PM Sunday March 31, 2002 at Manor Care Convalescent Hospital, Hemet, CA.
She was born on November 23, 1921 in Helena MT to Frederick and Goldie (Roberson) Ratcliff. She married LaVerne E. ‘Tex’ Graves in Marion IL on May 11, 1942. He preceded her in death on January 2, 1963.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Reynolds of Menifee, CA, a sister, Roberta Anderson, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Two sisters preceded her in death.
She was a licensed vocational nurse at the former Galesburg Research Hospital. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.
Her funeral will be 10:30 AM Saturday April 6, 2002 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Thomas Heather officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg. Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. Saturday at the Chapel. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Mrs. Wyoma A. Sauter

84, of 7272 Grosbeak Trail Roscoe, IL, died at 1:30 PM Saturday March 30, 2002 at Fair Oaks Nursing Home, South Beloit, WI.
She was born on October 6, 1917 in Paducah KY to Alonzo and Ruby (Fristoe) Melott. She married Kenneth V. Sauter in Palmyra MO on April 5, 1937. He preceded her in death on December 5, 1996.
She is survived by a son, John (and Carol) Sauter of Roscoe, IL, a granddaughter, Johanna Sauter of Roscoe, IL, a grandson, John Sauter of Roscoe, IL, several nieces and nephews. Five brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
She was a switchboard operator for the Burlington Northern Railroad for 23 years, retiring in 1980. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Churches in Galesburg and Rockford IL and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Her funeral will be 10:30 AM Wednesday April 3, 2002 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Dean Larsen officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg. Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at the Chapel. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, in either Galesburg or Rockford.

Brandon James Baysingar

15, of 512 Bloomington Drive East Brighton, TN, died at 2:45 PM Saturday March 30, 2002 at 512 Bloomington Drive, East Brighton, TN.
He was born on March 19, 1987 in Jacksonville FL to James and Peggy (McCann) Baysingar. Both parents survive.
Also surviving are a brother, Travis Baysingar of Brighton, TN, a grandfather, Larry Baysingar of Woodhull, IL, two grandmothers, Patricia Bishop of Monmouth, IL and Diane McCann of Galesburg, IL, four great grandmothers, Zelma Ashby, Ulana McCann, Lulla Baysingar of Altona, IL and Marie Harper of Dillon, SC.
He was a freshman at Brighton High School where he played baritone in its band. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop 260 where he was a Life scout. He was also a member of the Order of the Arrow.
His funeral will be 10:00 AM Thursday April 4, 2002 at United Church of Woodhull with Rev. Burt McGlawn officiating. Burial will be in Woodhull Cemetery, Woodhull. Visitation will be from 6:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday April 3, 2002 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Mr. Wendell E. Price

79, of 702 Lombard Street Galesburg, IL, died at 12:35 AM Friday March 29, 2002 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg, IL.
He was born on April 23, 1922 in Macomb IL to Wlmer and Alta (Schryack) Price. He married Laura M. Haynes in Maquon IL on May 17, 1942. She survives.
Also surviving are a son, Richard (and Nancy) Price of Galesburg, IL, three daughters, Judy Bettisworth of Galesburg, IL, Sharon (and Phil) Hambsch of Galesburg, IL and Wendy (and George) Wilson of Elgin, IL, a brother, LaVerne Price of Library, PA, nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
He was an administrator for Community Unit District #205 in Galesburg for 17 years. He also was an administrator for District 80 in Glen Ellyn, IL, retiring in 1981.
He was a 1940 graduate of Macomb (IL) High School and a 1951 graduate of Western Illinois University. He received a masters degree from University of Illinois and a Ph. D. from Northern Illinois University. He received a special certificate in guidance and counseling from the University of Colorado.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Alpha Masonic Lodge #123. the Galesburg Lions Club, the Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post #285, the Illinois Education Association, the National Education Association and Phi Delta Kappa. He served in the Air Force during World War II.
His funeral will be 10:00 AM Tuesday April 2, 2002 at First United Methodist Church with Mrs. Marilyn Anell officiating. Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg. Visitation will be from 6:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday April 1, 2002 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Mrs. Theresa K. Abel, Galesburg Chapel

35, of 125 Joy St. Oneida IL died at 4:10 PM Friday March 28, 2002 at her home.
She was born January 29, 1968 in Galesburg IL to Don R. and Norma L. Rossi Anderson. She married Scott Abel in Altona IL on June 27, 1992. He survives.
Also surviving are her parents Don and Norma Anderson of Rio IL, her grandmother Bernice Anderson of Cambridge IL and grandparents Sam and Virginia Haglund of Orion IL, one son Zachary Abel at home and one daughter Cassie Abel at home, two brothers Nick (wife Connie) Anderson of Dow IL, Chris (wife Sue) Anderson of Seguin TX, and several nieces and nephews.
She was the Office Manager for "M" Farms for seven years. She graduated from ROWVA High School in 1986. She also attended Carl Sandburg College. She has lived in the Rio and Oneida area most her life. She was involved with the Oneida PTO. She coached Girls 3rd and 4th grade Basketball and Boys and Girls T-Ball. She served on the Library Board. She was a member of the Oneida Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir and played in the bell choir.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday April 1, 2003 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Carolyn Webber officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday March 31, 2003 at the chapel. Burial will be in Oneida Cemetery. Mr. Wiman ‘Whitey’ Shideman

60, of 2530 Daniel Drive South Galesburg, IL, died at 11:50 PM Wednesday March 27, 2002 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg, IL.
He was born December 10, 1941 in Galesburg to Warren W. and Carol (Babbitt) Shideman. He married Sandra Guenther Whittaker on April 1, 2000 in Abingdon, IL. She survives.
Also surviving are his step mother, Betty Montgomery of Yates City, IL, a son, Timothy Shideman of Waterloo, IA, a step-son, Sean Whittaker of Galesburg, IL, a brother, Larry (and Sally) Shideman of Farmington, IL and two 2 grandsons.
He worked for Maytag Corporation and Butler Manufacturing Company, both in Galesburg. He then worked for Briggs Manufacturing Company in Abingdon for 22 years until they closed. Since June of 2001 he was a team leader for St. Mary’s Square Assisted Living Center, Galesburg.
He had lived in Yates City, Abingdon, and Galesburg. He graduated from Yates City High School. He was a member of the Briggs Union. He was an avid sports fan, including horse racing. He was a Navy veteran.
His funeral will be 11:30 AM Tuesday April 2, 2002 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Mrs. Eleanor Landon officiating. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery, Abingdon. Mrs. L. Berniece White Black

93, of 1250 W. Carl Sandburg Dr. Galesburg, IL, died at 7:55 PM Wednesday March 27, 2002 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg, IL.
She was born on September 13, 1908 in Lewistown IL to Roy and Winifred (Sipes) Johnson. She married M. Van White in Galesburg on April 18, 1930. He preceded her in death in 1976. She then married John Black in Galesburg in September 1987. He preceded her in death in 1992.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandra (and Steve) Olson of Three Rivers, MI and Sharon (and Gale) Sherman of Yates City, IL, ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. A son, Van White, a brother and a sister preceded her in death.
She was at the former OT Johnson’s Department Store for 12 years and the Board of Elections for 40 years. She was a 1926 graduate of Galesburg High School. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Order of Easter Star and the Oliver Wendell Holmes Club.
Her funeral will be 11:00 AM Monday April 1, 2002 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Mrs. Marilyn Anell officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg. Mrs. Grace F. Malone Blust

97, of 1384 N. Henderson St. Galesburg, IL, died at 7:15 PM Wednesday March 27, 2002 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital, Galesburg, IL.
She was born on May 12, 1904 in Dexter MO to Walter and Iva (Waggoner) Malone. she married Glenn W. Blust in Blomfield MO on October 9, 1920. He preceded her in death on June 24, 1984.
She is survived by two sons, Lloyd (and Elizabeth) Blust of Williamsfield, IL and W. Don (and Shirley) Blust of Knoxville, IL, a daughter, Evelyn Huber of Galesburg, IL, a sister, Martha Boren of Chapel Hill, NC, six grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
She was a homemaker who lived in the Dahinda and Williamsfield areas sine 1921. She moved to Galesburg in 1989. She was a member of the Church of Christ, the Dahinda Women’s Club and the Royal Neighbors of America.
Her funeral will be 1:30 PM Saturday March 30, 2002 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. LeRoy Torres officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg. Mrs. Loreda C. Nelson

103, of 2345 N. Seminary Street Galesburg, IL, died at 1:45 PM Tuesday March 26, 2002 at Seminary Manor Nursing Home, Galesburg, IL.
She was born of August 20, 1898 in Galesburg to Frank O. and Teenie Munson. She married Dr. Fred Wilbur in Galesburg on July 19, 1921. He preceded her in death in 1937. She then married Walter W. Nelson in Clinton IA on May 21, 1938. He preceded her in death in 1968.
She is survived by cousins, nieces and nephews. A brother preceded her in death.
She was a graduate of Galesburg High School and Brown’s Business College. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and the Elkettes. She served as the secretary for the Elk’s Crippled Children Clinic for 52-years.
Her funeral will be 11:00 AM Saturday March 30, 2002 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Tom Larsen officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Galesburg. Mrs. Mary E. Ferris

79, of 255 W. Tompkins St. Galesburg, IL, died at 6:27 AM Monday March 25, 2002 at Rosewood Care Center, Galesburg, IL.
She was born on October 2, 1922 in Aurora IL to Daniel E. and Mary (Graff) Coleman. She married Henry Stewart Ferris in Hot Springs AR on February 8, 1954. He preceded her in death on December 10, 1975.
She is survived by a son, Drew (and Barbara) Ferris of Galesburg, IL, three daughters, Joann Ferris of Marion, IL, Mary S. Ferris of Galesburg, IL and Karen Ruth Nichols of CA, a brother, Daniel (and Lucille) Cole of Galesburg, IL, two sisters, Ruth Coleman of Brookfield, WI and Edna Paap of AR and six grandchildren. A brother and a sister preceded her in death.
She worked at the Galesburg State Research Hospital for 17 years, retiring in 1983.
