She was born March 4, 1924 in Morrison, IL to Edward L. and Myrtle B. (Knox) Kemmer. She married Kenneth W. Alexander on June 20, 1943 in Galesburg IL. He preceded her in death on June 16, 2002.
She is survived by three sons, William E. (and Sandra) Alexander of St. Marie, MT, Richard K. (and Sherry) Alexander of The Villages, Florida and David L. (and Teri) Alexander of Galesburg, IL, a grandson, a granddaughter and a great grandchild.
She was a homemaker. She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1942. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was an avid bowler, bowling in several ladies bowling leagues.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday October 2, 2002 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Norman Myer officiating. Visitation will be from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday October 1, 2002 at the Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the First Presbyterian Church.

She was born on January 9, 1917 in Oneida, IL to George W. and Mabel (Hannam) Gehring. She married Kirkland H. Calhoun in Oneida, IL on June 20, 1943. He preceded her in death on January 1, 1993.
She is survived by a son, Thomas G. (and Shirley) Calhoun of Galesburg, IL, two brothers, Bruce (and Helen) Gehring or East Moline, IL and Russell (and Beverly) Gehring of Galesburg, IL, a sister, Jean Maze of Rockford, IL, three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
She worked at the former American Beauty Restaurant, Illinois Power Company and in the catalog department at Montgomery Ward, retiring in 1982. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Galesburg.
Funeral services will be 1:30 PM Wednesday October 2, 2002 at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Ernest Pizzamiglio officiating. Burial will be in the Oneida (IL) Cemetery. She was born February 18, 1935 in Grand Rapids, MI to William and Vivian (Kesler) Williams. She married Wendell L. Lawson on June 28, 1986 in Lake Tahoe, CA. He survives.

Sterling, KY, Peter (and Karen) Menter of Fremont, CA, and Dennis Menter of Galesburg, IL, a daughter, Linda (and Scott) Goslow of Reno, NV, three brothers, Don (and Wanda) Williams of Mission, TX, Bill (and Marie) Williams of Pettersburg, MI and Rev. John (and Barb) Williams of Lowell, MI, two sisters, Carman (and Larry) Curtis of Lake Odessa, MI and Mary (and Roy) Copeland of Phoenix, AZ, five grandchildren and a great grandson. She was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Williams.
She assembled computers in Mountain View, CA for SMS Corporation for 8 years. She had lived in Galesburg since 1990. She was of Christian faith and attended the Covenant Church, Galesburg.

She was born May 30, 1942 in Monmouth, IL to John and Dorcus (Mitchell) Elander. She married Charles D. Peterson on November 9, 1962 in Augusta IL. He survives.
Also surviving is her mother, Dorcus Elander of Galesburg IL, a son C. David Peterson Jr of Galesburg IL, two daughters Beth (and Dan) Swing of Galesburg IL and Susan (and Tom) Martin of Chicago, IL, a brother Rick (and Joan) Elander of Galesburg IL and five grandchildren.
She worked for Galesburg School District #205 as a Home Study Teacher for 35 years, retiring in August 2001. She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1960 and Western Illinois University in 1964. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday September 27, 2002 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Lee Johnson and Rev. Kirk Kendall officiating. She was born May 4, 1928 in Horse Valley, PA to George and Vera (Wright) Horn. She married Clark George Rosenberry, Jr in Maryland. He died in 1997.
Surviving are five daughters, Linda (and Claude) Jennings Sr., Marlene (and Albert) Allen, Peggy Johnson, Vera (and Thomas) Rosenberry, Georgia (and Doug) McLaughlin, all of Galesburg IL, four brothers, Jack Horn, Jimmy Horn, Richard Horn and Curtis Horn all of PA, three sisters, Orlee Gipe and Beryl Walls both in PA and Betty Mackey of East Galesburg IL, fourteen grandchildren including one granddaughter ,Tammy Rosenberry of Galesburg IL whom she raised and ten great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Danny Rosenberry on January 22, 2002, two brothers and two sisters.
She first worked for Heinz Ketchup in the PA area. She later worked undercover for the Galesburg Police Department. She then worked kitchen help for Knox College. She worked last for 6 years in housekeeping at the Holiday Inn in Galesburg. She lived in Galesburg since 1950. She attended church at the Salvation Army in Galesburg IL.
Funeral services will be are 2:00 PM Friday September 27, 2002 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Captain Rick Ray officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Friday at the Chapel. Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the family

She was born on July 11, 1912 in Shanghai, IL to C.J. and Victoria (Nelson) Johnson. She married Irving Smith in Tipton, IA on June 30, 1936. He preceded her in death on September 6, 1983.
She is survived by a daughter, Karen (and John) D’Albora of Galesburg, IL, two brothers, Richard Johnson of Smithshire, IL and Robert Johnson of Hill Top Lakes, TX, four sisters, Violet Park of Silvis, IL, Gertrude McCord of Galesburg, IL, Bernyce McNeely of Tavares, FL and Eunice Atkinson of Corpus Christi, TX, three grandchildren, Angela Viane, Jill Crane and Nicholas Viane and two great grandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
She farmed in the Knox County, IL area her entire life, retiring in 1980. She also worked for 20 years in food service at the Churchill Junior High School. She was a member of the Henderson (IL) Methodist Church, the Henderson Women’s Club and the Northgate Senior Bowling League. She was a volunteer at Heartland Healthcare Center.

She was born August 17, 1935 in Devil’s Lake, ND to Bertel and Josephine (Orseth) Thorkveen. She married Robert Keith Tousley July 19, 1958 in Mankato, MN. He preceded her in death. She then married Robert G. Stewart on August 9, 1984 in Galesburg, IL. He survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Randy Keith Tousley and Troy Allen Tousley, both of Galesburg, IL and Donald Brent (and Sharon Louise) Tousley of Portsmouth, VA, two step sons, Robert C. (and Teresa) Stewart of Dunlap, IL and Ralph E. Stewart of Peoria, IL, a step daughter, Julie C. (and Wallace) Penn of Peoria, IL, a brother, Tillford Thorkveen of Lumberton, TX and 15 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters.
She worked at Knox College for 20 years as a secretary and property manager. She retired in 1985. She was then the manager of Galesburg Towers for 8 years. She retired in 1992. She graduated from high school in Devil’s Lake, ND and from the Salvation Army Training College in Chicago. She was a member of First Church of God, Galesburg. She was a member of the Accredited Real Estate Management Association. She had received numerous awards for property management.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday September 21, 2002 at the First Church of God with Rev. Derick Bacon officiating. Visitation will be from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM Friday in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials can be made to First Church of God.

She was born on September 25, 1914 in Edgely, ND to James C. and Elizabeth (Brown) McKee. She married Dr. Wayne Thompson in Galesburg, IL.
She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Christians of Minneapolis, MN, two brothers, Dale McKee of Rio, IL and James McKee of Fort Belvoir, VA and two grandchildren.
She taught high school in the Chicago suburbs for 30 years, retiring in June, 1978. She was a 1932 graduate of Galesburg High School and a 1936 graduate of Knox College, Galesburg. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, PEO Chapter W in Galesburg and the Hinsdale (IL) PEO.
Graveside memorial services will be 11:00 AM Monday September 23, 2002 at Fuller Cemetery, near Rio, IL with Rev. Norman Myer officiating. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church or the American Heart Association. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

He was born January 2, 1910 in Smoland Sweden to John F. and Anna C. (Johanson) Johnson. He married Linette E. Olson in Wataga, IL on May 3, 1952. She died May 1, 1997.
He is survived by a special friend, Anne Larson of Woodhull, IL, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Shirley Olson of Galesburg, IL, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, four brothers and three sisters.
He farmed in the Burgess and Wataga area most of his life. He came to the USA in 1926. He lived in Burgess IL over 40 years. He became a US citizen in the 1940s. He has lived Wataga, IL since 1975. He was a member of the Knox County Bureau. He was a volunteer fireman in Burgess, IL. He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Wataga, IL.

She is survived by five sons, Robert L. (and Louise) Garman of El Paso, TX, Wallace A. (and Blanche) Garman of Dunlap, IL, Maurice C. (and Kay) Garman of Campbell, OH and Dale D. (and Dot) Garman and Lawrence D. Garman, both of Galesburg, IL, two daughters, Doris J. Luallen and Florence O. (and Luke) Johnson, both of Galesburg, IL, 23 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and 29 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Juanita A. Stevens, four brothers and three sisters.
She was a fraternity house cook at Knox College for 9 years. She was of Methodist faith. She was a member of Women of the Moose Lodge #880 and Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post 285 Auxiliary and a charter member of the Armed Forces Service Club.
