99, of 275 E. Carl Sandberg Dr., formerly of 349 N. Henderson St., Galesburg, IL died at 4:40 PM Monday, September 29, 2003 in Heartland Health Care Center.
She was born March 14, 1904 to Charles and Carrie Hansen Rosenberg.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews including a nephew Frederick (and Joanne) O’Connor of Wataga, IL who cared for her. She is preceded in death by a brother and a twin brother and two sisters.
She worked as a sales clerk for the former Scribben Book Store in Galesburg and the former Kellogg & Drake & Malone Department Store in Dekalb, IL, retiring in 1970. She attended First Lutheran Church.
A private family graveside memorial service will be held at a later date in Linwood Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorials can be made to the First Lutheran Church or a charity of the donors choice.

90, of 170 S. West St., Galesburg, IL died at 11:50 AM Monday, September 29, 2003 in Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
She was born June 4, 1913 in Macomb, IL to Morrison and Elizabeth Tate Thorpe. She married Clem H. Campbell, Sr. in Galesburg, IL. He preceded her in death on November 1, 1954.
She is survived by eight sons; Meredith (and Jean) Palmer of Peoria, IL, Clem (and Betty) Campbell, Jr. of Monmouth, IL, Chester (and Odie) Campbell of Portland, OR, Dennis Campbell of Salem, OR, Ulysses (and Brenda) Campbell, William (and Pamela) Campbell, Howard (wife Tammy) Campell and Charles Campbell, all of Galesburg, IL, two daughters; Nedra Wilson of Galesburg, IL and Herlyne Hatcher of Wichita, KS, thirty grandchildren, forty-three great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and five sisters.
She was a homemaker. She lived in Galesburg her entire life. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of the Bethesda Baptist Church, where she participated in the Church Choir. She was on the Usher Board and numerous other Church activities.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Monday October 6, 2003 at the East Linwood Cemetery with Deacon Morris Coleman officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorials can be made to the Western Illinois Hemo-Dialysis Unit at Cottage Hospital.

89, RR St. Augustine, died at 3:30 am Sunday, September 28, 2003 at home.
He was born May 19, 1914 near Monmouth in Warren County to James Lewis and Dorthea Emily Holloway Coursey. He married Polly J. Schugmann on September 19, 1948 in Abingdon. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, George (and Deb) Coursey of RR St. Augustine; two grandsons, Shawn Coursey of RR St. Augustine and Marc (and Kacey) Coursey of RR Good Hope, IL; 2 great grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
He was raised in Warren County and graduated from Yorkwood High School.
He had farmed in Knox County since 1949. He was also a Pork producer and was a past board member of the Poland China Association and a member of the Knox County Pork Producers.
He had also worked as a security guard at Maytag Company in Galesburg for five years.
He was an Army Air Force Veteran serving in the 78th Fighter Squadron during WW II where he served in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of the Harry E. Wiles American Legion Post #381 in Abingdon.
Services will be at 11:00 am Thursday at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel in Abingdon with Eleanor Landon officiating. Burial will be in the Abingdon Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #381. Friends may call from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday at the chapel.
Memorials may be made to the Abingdon High School Future Farmers of America.

He was born February 23, 1927 in Abingdon, IL to Irwin and Opal Sissel Quinn. He married Jean M. Pennington on July 3, 1972 in Hamilton, MO. She survives.
Also surviving is a son James (and Dee) Quinn of Galesburg, IL, a step daughter, Darlene Fauaa of Elizabethtown, KY, a brother, Raymond Quinn of Alabama, two sisters, Donna Richardson and Clara Remaly, both of Galesburg, IL, a grandson and a great grandson.
He worked at Gale Products/OMC as a forklift operator for 37 years retiring in 1983. He also was a City Bus Driver retiring 1991. He graduated from Abingdon High School. He was a member of the AMVETS, member of the Moose Lodge #880, member of the OAKS, member of the F.O.E. Lodge in Oquawka and a member of the Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post #285. He served in the US Army during World War II.
Funeral services will be 1:30 PM Wednesday, October 1, 2003 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Kevin Treptow officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM Wednesday at the Chapel. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Military honors will be provided by Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post #285. Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Unit at Marigold Health Care Center.

He was born August 20, 1945 in Galesburg, IL to Robert and Margaret Clark Briggs. He married Alice Downard on February 20, 1965 in Galesburg IL. She survives.
Also surviving are five sons; Richard (and Charlotte) Clark of Bushnell, IL, Michael (and Amy) Clark of Evansville, IN, Jeffrey (and Latricia) Clark of Avon, IL and David (and Amy) Clark and Roger (and Deborah) Clark, both of Galesburg, IL, a step sister; Patricia, fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson.
He worked for Gale Products/OMC for 15 years and then worked for District 205. He later worked security at Maytag for four years and later was a bus driver for Mayflower. He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1966. He attended First Church of the Nazarene. He lived in Galesburg all his life. He served in the Army from 1969-1971 in Vietnam.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Thursday October 2, 2003 at the East Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg. Military honors will be provided by Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post #285. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM Thursday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel.

He was born March 28, 1921 in Seaton, IL to Gustaf Frederick and Anna Christina Lundeen Anderson. He married Eleanor Fern Johnson on September 25, 1949 in North Henderson, IL. She surives.
Also surviving are two sons, Rev. Tim L. (and Jane) Anderson of Altona, IL and Danny Ray Anderson of Phoenix, AZ, a daughter, Cindy S. (and Randy) Bender of Milan, IL, two sisters, Ruby Bickel of Monmouth, IL and Betty Corbin of Alexis, IL and four grandchildren, Noel and Amy Anderson of Altona, IL and Janson and Jenna Bender of Milan, IL.
He worked as a foreman in the Paint shop at Admiral/Maytag Corp. for 39 years, retiring on March 28, 1986. As a boy he farmed in the Seaton, Alexis, North Henderson and Varna areas with his father. He graduated from Alexis High School in 1939. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Galesburg IL, there he was on the Social Ministry Committee, Past Board Member, and Sunday School Teacher. He was a Square Dancer with many clubs. He served Meals on Wheels.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 1, 2003 at First Lutheran Church with Rev. Paul Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, September 30, 2003 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the First Lutheran Church or to the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Altona.

She was born December 18, 1913 in Carlinville, IL, the daughter of John and Mary Gorman Hoecker. She married Paul A. Mosher on October 29, 1945 in Jacksonville, IL. He preceded her in death in 1966.
Surviving are 3 daughters, Jeanne (and David) Craig, Hurst, TX, Kathryn Mosher, East Peoria, IL, and Patricia Mosher, Galesburg, 2 sisters, Jean Kantor, Chico, CA and Peggy Flynn, Jacksonville, IL, 3 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, James Mosher in 1947 and 3 brothers.
She was a bookkeeper, working for Accounting Systems in Galesburg for many years. She retired in 1977. She graduated from Routt High School in 1931 and Brown’s Business College in 1933, both in Jacksonville, IL. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Galesburg and the Ladies of Mary. She was a member of the Senior Citizens of Henderson, IL.
Funeral will be 10 AM Monday in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church with the Rev. Ernest Pizzamiglio officiating. There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be 3 PM Monday in Calvary Cemetery, Jacksonville, IL. Memorials can be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church or the Galesburg Public Library. She was born April 2, 1915 in Alexis, IL the daughter of Charlie and Edythe Davis Milner. She married Edward Leon Logsdon on December 1, 1934 in Little York, IL. He preceded her in death on October 28, 1991.
She is survived by three brothers, Charles (and Florence) Milner of Battle Creek, MI, Lewis (and Edith) Milner of Horicon, WI, and Larry (and Sharon) Milner of Alexis, IL, three sisters, Shirley (and Dale) Tornquist of New Windsor, IL, Gloria (and Wilbert) Swihart of Arnold, CA, and Dariel Milner of Galesburg, IL. She was preceded in death by two sisters.
She was a homemaker and helped farm with her husband in Altona, IL before moving to Galesburg in 1956. She graduated from Alexis High School in 1934. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Galesburg, IL.

She was born October 9, 1921 in Toulon, IL, the daughter of Raymond and Mary Haggy Dickerson. She married Charles Pierce Johnson on March 8, 1941 in Davenport, Iowa. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1992.
Surviving is a son, Ron W. (and Jeanne) Johnson, Davenport, Iowa, 2 sisters, Carrie Everett, Milan, IL and Vivian Davies, Lakeside, CA, and 2 grandchildren, Scot and Matt Johnson, both of Davenport, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
She was a cashier at the former C & E Grocery Store and for Galesburg High School. She also had worked at the former S & H Green Stamp Store in Galesburg. She retired in 1983. She had lived in Galva and Toulon, but in Galesburg for most of her life. She was a graduate of Galesburg High School. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Galesburg. She was a very active volunteer with the American Red Cross.
Funeral will be 2 PM Saturday in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. The Rev. Marilyn Anell will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2 PM Saturday at the chapel. Also surviving are his parents, Lonnie and Barb England of Wataga, IL, one son, Wesley E. England of Galesburg, IL, two daughters, Christine L. and Jessica N. England, both of Galesburg, IL, two brothers, Rick and Larry England, both of Galesburg, IL and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
He worked as an exterminator for Monmouth Termite Control for 15 years. He attended Apostolic Tabernacle Church in Galesburg and enjoyed fishing and camping.
