She was born on December 3, 1915 in Galesburg, IL to Pearl and Clara Dugger Channel. She married H. Willard Pearson in Galesburg, IL on November 17, 1937. He preceded her in death on August 4, 2000.
She is survived by two sons; Clair (and Carol) Pearson of Coal Valley, IL and James (and Linda) Pearson of Williamson, NY, three granddaughters; Lee Ann Pearson of Oxford, MA, Molly and Rachael Pearson, both of Coal Valley, IL and a brother-in-law, C. Eugene (and Charlotte) Pearson of Galesburg, IL.
She was a graduate of Galesburg High School and a 1937 graduate of Knox College, Galesburg. She attended Brown’s Business College, also in Galesburg.
She worked for the State of Illinois Department of Vocational Rehabilitation. She then taught school in the Avon school district for 23 years, retiring in 1981.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a former member of the Pilot Club. She was in bowling leagues for many years. She and her husband traveled on many bus trips.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, December 31, 2003 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Daniel Siems officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg. Visitation will be from 6:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Youth Foundation of the Galesburg Exchange Club.

She was born November 25, 1929 in Woodford County, IL, the daughter of David and Rosalie Kerker Winkler. She married Ralph D. Moore on June 9, 1961 in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on August 22, 1983.
Surviving is a son, Dr. Kurt (and Patty) Williams of St. Charles, IL, two daughters; Valerie Williams Larkin and Lisa (and Bill) Petentler, both of Galesburg, four brothers; Clyde Winkler of Washburn, IL, David Winkler, Jr. and Ralph (and Lois) Winkler, both of Alexis, IL and Sol Winkler in California, a sister; Irene (and Stanley) Horton of Galesburg and six grandchildren; Rebecca Williams, Jason Petentler, Laura Williams, Brittany Petentler, Bryanna Petentler, and Bethany Petentler. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and one sister.
She was a bookkeeper, working for P & M Electrolux, Burlington Truck Lines, Knox County Council for Developmental Disabilities and Walgreen’s, all in Galesburg, and Grace Lutheran Church in Knoxville. She retired in 1997. She was also an Avon representative for 25 years from 1965 to 1990. She was a member of First Christian Church in Galesburg. She graduated from Alexis High School in 1947 and then moved to Galesburg, where she lived the rest of her life.
Funeral services will be 11:30 AM Wednesday, December 31, 2003 in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. The Rev. Greg Fitch will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at the Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials can be made to an education fund for her granddaughters, Bryanna and Bethany Petentler in care of First Midwest Bank.

He was born May 22, 1926 in Tennessee, IL, the son of Orlin W. and Bessie Mae Otto Johnson. He married Clara Lee Bliven on November 20, 1945 in Macomb, IL. She survives.
Also surviving are 2 sons, Gary Lynn (and Dorothy) Johnson, Washington, IL and Michael Lee (and Sharon) Johnson, Galesburg, 2 daughters, Pamela Sue (and Marvin) Brock, Galesburg and Peggy Williams, Billings, Montana, one brother, Phillip (and Rita) Johnson, Good Hope, IL, 2 sisters, Lois Cann of Galesburg and Ruth Dowell, Williams Port, PA, 10 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 sisters.
He was a conductor of the former Burlington Northern Railroad for 38 years. He retired in 1988. He had lived in Galesburg since 1951 and was a member of the First Christian Church. He was a member of Alpha Masonic Lodge #155, Galesburg. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII.
Funeral will be 2:30 PM Wednesday in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. The Rev. Greg Fitch will officiate. Masonic rites will be conducted by Alpha Masonic Lodge #155. Visitation will be 1:30 to 2:30 PM Wednesday at the chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with military rites by Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post 285. Memorials can be made to First Christian Church or Community Hospices of America.

She was born July 23, 1906 in Galesburg, the daughter of John and Grace Osgood Camren. She married Thurston Vedell on February 26, 1927 in Princeton, IL. He preceded her in death in 1972.
She is survived by a son, Richard J. Vedell, Knoxville, IL, a daughter, Marilee (and Richard) Maulding, Herrin, IL, one brother, Don Camren, Phoenix, AZ, 7 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 17 great great grandchildren. She also raised 22 foster children. She was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Marjorie Vedell and Nancy Vedell, one brother, and one sister.
She and her husband owned and operated the former Vedell Dairy Farm in Knoxville for many years. She also was a psychiatric aide at the former Galesburg State Research Hospital for several years. She retired in 1969. She graduated from Galesburg High School and attended Brown’s Business College. She was of the Methodist faith.
Graveside services will be 2 PM Wednesday in Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorials can be made to the Knox County Nursing Home. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

She was a Nursing Instructor at Bradley University, Peoria, IL and Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg for several years, retiring in 1993.
She was a member of First Christian Church in Galesburg, IL, PEO Home Chapter for 57 years, the Bridge Brigade in Galesburg, IL and Cadet Nursing Corp during World War II. She was a 1944 Des Moines (IA) High School graduate. She received her Bachelors degree from Bradley University, Peoria, IL, her RN from Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, IA and her MSN from Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, IL. She lived in several cities in other countries before moving to Galesburg, IL.
Memorial services will be 1:30 PM Monday, December 29, 2003 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Greg Fitch officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 12 noon to 1:30 PM at the Chapel. There will be a private family burial. She is survived by one son; Rodney J. Christy (and Tammy Lenski) of Dublin, NH, one daughter; Natalie S. Bannister (and Glenn Uhlman) of Denver, CO and one sister; Lorraine Crandall (and Lee) of Port Byron, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother Jerilee T. Burg in 1951.
She was an elementary teacher in Gilson and Knoxville IL for 20 years, retiring in 1981. She graduated from Good Hope High School in 1934. She graduated from Western Illinois University in 1936. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Galesburg, IL and Sciota, IL. She was involved in numerous church and civic organizations.

He was born on July 10, 1946 in Sterling, IL. He was raised by adopted parents Rev. John and Jennie Stauffer Hallock. They preceded him in death. He married Norma Talley on November 29, 1974 in Indianapolis, IN. She survives.
Also surviving is his biological father; Charles (and Joyce) Ebersole of Sterling, IL, two daughters; Tara M. Hallock of Cedar Rapids, IA and Gretchen A. Hallock of Wataga, IL and one brother; Robert W. Hallock of Park Ridge, IL.
He was a store manager of a Goodyear Tire and Rubber company in Chicago, IL. He later became a minister serving the United Church of Christ Church and has been with the Wataga (IL) Congregational Church for 30 years. He graduated from high school in Lexington, IL and Culver-Stockton College in 1968. He earned his Masters of Arts at the Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis, IN and his Masters of Divinity in 1977.
He was a member of the Inter Denominational Ministers Alliance and the ROWVA Ministers Alliance. He was a member of the Wataga Congregational Church.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, December 27, 2003 at the Wataga Congregational Church with Rev. Jeff Barclay officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, December 26, 2003 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Burial will be in the Science Ridge Cemetery in Sterling IL. He was born July 17, 1920 in Osco, IL the son of G. Victor and Mary Robertson Freberg. He married Eleanor I. Pumfrey in Galesburg, IL on February 3, 1946.
He is survived by his wife, two sons; John (and Lois) Freberg of Oneida, IL and Dale (and Jan) Freberg of Galesburg, IL, a daughter, Janet (and Greg) Shields of Galesburg, IL, two sisters; Betty Cheline of Galva, IL and Dorothy Zimmerman of Bloomington, IL, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister and one grandson.
He farmed all of his life, retiring in 2002. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church since 1928, the Knox County Farm Bureau, 20-year 4H leader, honorary member of the Galesburg FFA Chapter in since 1964 and a charter member of Henderson Volunteer Fire Department.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Friday, December 26, 2003 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel with Rev. Paul Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Chapel. He was born July 15, 1940 in Galesburg, the son of Leo E. and Margaret May McGraw Hilligoss. He married Eloise Ann Daniels on April 8, 1960 in Galesburg. She survives.
Also surviving are 2 sons, James Lee Hilligoss and Richard Lee Hilligoss, Jr., both of Galesburg, 2 daughters, Deborah Lynn Hilligoss and Catherine Sue Hilligoss, both of Galesburg, a sister, Irma Irene (and Les) Matthews, Kingwood, TX, a step brother, David Harris, Makanda, IL, and a step sister, Kathy Jessop in Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a conductor for the Burlington Northern Railroad for 43 years. He retired in July of 2002. He was a member of the United Transportation Union.
Cremation will be accorded. Graveside committal of ashes will be 10 AM Wednesday in Warren County Hope Cemetery, near Alexis, IL. The Rev. Kevin Treptow will officiate. There will be no visitation.
