86, 1711 W. Carl Sandburg Drive, Galesburg, died at 12:07 AM Thursday, July 27, 2006 in OSF St. Mary Medical Center.
She was born June 1, 1920 in Lancaster, MO, the daughter of Alex and Ida E. Pruner Welsh. She married Howard “Bill” Hanen on December 22, 1951 in Des Moines, Iowa.
She is survived by 3 granddaughters, Judy Magee and Jody Coulter, both of Knoxville, IL and Julie Bacon of Galesburg, 5 great grandchildren, and a niece who cared for her, Maxine (and Jerry) Schaadt of Rockford, OH. She was preceded in death by a son, Gary L. Hanen on October 21, 1999, 4 brothers, and 1 sister.
She worked for the Credit Bureau of Galesburg for 23 years. She retired in 1980. She graduated from Keokuk High School, Keokuk, IA in 1938. She had lived in Galesburg since 1958. She was of the Methodist faith.
Funeral will be 10 AM Monday in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. The Rev. Marilyn Anell will officiate. Visitation will be 9 to 10 AM Monday at the chapel. 59, of 2182 Windish Dr., Galesburg, IL died at 1:30 AM Sunday July 30, 2006 in Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
He was born June 11, 1947 in Woodstock, IL the son of True C. and Irene Alberta Wallis Harvey. He is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Connie (and Dale) Bye of Woodstock, who cared for him. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and five sisters.
He worked for KCCDD. He also worked on a feed mill and a cattle farm. He enjoyed gardening, farming, coloring, painting and chocolates. He was baptized in the Catholic faith. He has lived in Galesburg for 18 years.

He was born December 5, 1931 in Knoxville, IL, the son of Irvin and Marie Bevard Hinderliter. He married Jackie Haynes on April 22, 1962 in Knox County, IL. She survives.
Also surviving is a son, Bryan Martz, Pasadena, Maryland, 3 daughters, Lori Beth Bliss, Burlington, Iowa, Missy (and Bill) Utsinger, rural Ellisville, IL, and Krissy (and Scott) Wagher, Salem, VA, a brother, Robert (and Joyce) Hinderliter, Glasford, IL, 9 grandchildren, one great grandchild, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
He worked for Galesburg Canvas Products for 16 years and then was a custodian for Galesburg Community School District 205 for 16 years. He retired in 1994.
He was a member of the Roy Miller American Legion Post 644, Fairview, IL and the Knox County Conservation and Sportsman Club.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict with the Military Police.
Graveside services will be 10 AM Saturday in Knoxville Cemetery with the Rev. John Simpson officiating. Military rites will be accorded by Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post 285. 90, of 1250 W. Carl Sandburg Dr. Galesburg, IL died 9:00 PM Wednesday July 26, 2006 at Rosewood Care Center in Galesburg.
She was born December 17, 1915 in Colmar, IL to Thomas Henry and Lena M. Roberts Downey. She married Frank B. McKee March 10, 1934 in Macomb, IL. He preceded her in death October 20, 1993.
Surviving are two daughters Marilyn B. Lehning of Dunlap, IL and Shirlene (husband Ron) Anderson of Galesburg, IL, a sister Helen Smallwood of Galesburg, five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother and a sister.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, T.O.P.S. and O.A.K.S. all in Galesburg. She was a volunteer at the Galesburg Visitors Center and involved with the Galesburg Towers. She was also an election judge.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Saturday July 29, 2006 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with the Rev. Marilyn Anell officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 – 11:00 AM Saturday at the chapel. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Galesburg. Memorials can be made to First United Methodist Church.

88, 893 N. Prairie St., Galesburg, died at 5:04 AM Monday, July 24, 2006 in Marigold Health Care Center.
He was born February 5, 1918 in St. Louis, MO, the son of Alexander D. and Louise Bethard Young. He married Jo B. Boone on April 17, 1948 in Dunklin County, MO. She survives.
Also surviving is a son, Kevin (and Marilyn) Young, Galesburg, 2 grandchildren, a half brother, Craig Young in South Carolina, and 2 half sisters, Maryann Nelizen and Cheryl Shwartz, both of Appleton, WI. He was preceded in death by a son, Keith Douglas Young in 1979.
He worked for the former Gale Products Division of Outboard Marine Corporation in their Pioneer Saw Division as a regional manager for 40 years. He retired in 1983.
He graduated from high school in St. Louis. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Galesburg.
Funeral will be 1 PM Friday in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. The Rev. Daniel Smith will officiate. Visitation will be noon to 1 PM Friday at the chapel. 80, a resident of the Care Center of Abingdon, died at 1:20 pm Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
She was born on October 16, 1925 in Knox County to Cline and Esther Meadows Danner. She married Robert Risenhoover. She later married Harold Condreay on September 6, 1946 in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on September 26, 1998.
Surviving are two daughters, Dottie (and Galen) Peacock of Gilson, Evelyn (and Elden) Simpson of Abingdon; one son, Bobby Risenhoover of Kansas; 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Geraldine Danner.
She had live Galesburg and Abingdon most of her life and was resident of the Care Center of Abingdon the past two years.
She worked at the former Blue Bell Manufacturing in Abingdon and was a homemaker.
She was of the protestant faith and was affiliated with the Church of God of Prophecy in Abingdon.
Graveside service will be at 11:00 am Thursday, July 27, 2006 at the Abingdon Cemetery. Rev. Warren Cummins will officiate. There will be no visitation. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

She was born January 26, 1917 in Williamsburg, OH the daughter of Thomas and Mary E. Smith Faulkner. She married Albert Jansen in 1936 in Cincinnati, OH. He preceded her in death in 1960. She later married Edward Hank in 1961 in Indiana. He preceded her in death in 1969.
She is survived by one son, Thomas (and Alice) Jansen, Eden, NC, one daughter, Tammy S. Corcoran, Wilmington, NC, eleven grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mrs. James (Janice) Horack of Galesburg in 2004 and two brothers.
She graduated from Williamsburg High School. She was a homemaker and of the Catholic faith. She was a member of the O.A.K.S. Senior Club in Galesburg.

She was born February 17, 1924 in Galesburg, the daughter of Howard D. and Mary Ann Von Drake Swisegood. She married Leslie M. Johnson on September 13, 1943 in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on October 5, 1996.
She is survived by 2 sons, Marc (and Jill) Johnson, Ft. Worth, TX and David Johnson, Chicago, IL, a daughter, Cathryn (and Nicholas) Johnson-Kildahl, Rio Rico, AZ, 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 3 step grandchildren.
She was a homemaker who lived in Galesburg her entire life. She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1942. She was a member of First Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the Central Illinois China Painter’s Guild. She enjoyed playing cards.

age 79, of 256 Benner Ave., Galesburg, IL died at 8:10 AM Friday July 21, 2006 at his home.
He was born March 16, 1927 in Moline, IL the son of Vernum and Dorothea Brunswig Wildermuth. He married Evelyn Millage in Moline on August 14, 1945. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Fritz (wife Jean) Wildermuth of Park Forest, IL, David (wife Grace) Wildermuth of Tucson, AZ, and Sid (wife Lynn) Wildermuth, Indianapolis, IN, one daughter, Connie (husband Greg) Jensen of Galesburg, one brother, Jim (wife Beverly) Wildermuth of Aledo, IL, seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Phyliss and Jewel.
He served in the United States Navy as a Seaman First Class from 1945-1947. He was stationed in San Diego, CA and Pearl Harbor.
He worked for Alexander Lumber Company in Reynolds and Alexis, IL for 35 years, retiring in January 1991. He had lived in New Windsor, Reynolds, Alexis and then in Galesburg for the last 21 years. He was active in square dancing in this area.
Cremation will be accorded. A celebration of life will be 2 to 5 PM Sunday July 23, 2006 at his home, 256 Benner Ave., Galesburg.
