37, of 546 N. Pearl St., Galesburg died at 12:30 AM Thursday March 26, 2008 at his home.
He was born January 24, 1972 in Galesburg the son of Donald L. and Vicki Strange Lovitt. He married Kandi Tucker in Galesburg. He later married Nichole Marie Sharp on July 21, 2006 in Galesburg. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Dustin Lovitt, Jr. of Wataga and Jordan Jacob Lovitt of Galesburg; a daughter, Jamie Tucker of Wataga; his mother, Vicki Rogers of Abingdon; two cousins, Scotty and Danny Lovitt, both of Galesburg, and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father on August 29, 2006 and one son, Easton Angel Lovitt on August 2, 2007.
Dustin worked as a self employed laborer in construction. He attended the East Galesburg Community Chapel Church. He enjoyed boating, the river, music, his guitar, and the outdoors.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11:45 AM Tuesday, March 31, 2009 in East Linwood Cemetery. The Rev. Milton Marquith will officiate. 41, of 247 Lombard St., Galesburg, IL died at 5:13 AM Friday, March 20, 2009 at his home.
He was born on February 7, 1968 in Galesburg to Thomas Parker and Sheryl K. Davis. He married Michelle Walters on January 13, 1997 in Monmouth, IL. She survives.
Also surviving is his mother, Sheryl Kay Davis of Knoxville, IL; two sons, Robert C. Walters and Jeffrey L. Davis, Jr., both of Galesburg; a stepson, James E. Walters of St. Joseph, IL; two daughters, Amanda J. Davis and Samantha R. Davis, both of Galesburg; a stepdaughter, Harlie R.E. Walters of Oblong, IL; a sister, Julie Davis of Knoxville and a nephew, Kody L. Wagner. He was preceded in death by his father.
He was an assistant manager at the Waterworks Car Wash in Galesburg; last working on October 26, 2008 due to health reasons. He enjoyed playing pool, watching the Cubs, Tony Stewart and the Buffalo Bills and working on demo cars. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Graveside memorial services will be 11 AM Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Galesburg with Rev. Rick Shriber officiating. 60, of 582 N. Cherry St., Galesburg, IL died at 12:47 AM Friday, March 13, 2009 at his home.
He was born on May 10, 1948 in Chicago, IL to William J. and Doris M. Greene Heimann. He married Catherine Kucik on August 2, 1970 in Westchester, IL.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Kerry Heimann and Kevin Heimann, both of Princeton, NJ and Christopher Heimann of St. Louis, MO; a daughter, Cammi Heimann (and Douglas) Lawrence of Grand Rapids, MI; a brother, William P. (and Carol) Heimann of Willowbrook, IL; a sister-in-law, Gay Heimann of LaVernia, TX and two grandchildren, Max Lawrence and Lucy Lawrence.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dennis N. Heimann.
He was a coach, professor, development officer and mentor at Knox College, Galesburg for 37 years.
He was a 1966 graduate of Proviso West High School. He received a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Knox College in 1970. He received a Master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling from Bradley University, Peoria in 1976. He served in the U. S. Army Reserves for six years.

69, of Galesburg and formerly of Abingdon, died at 11:07 am Monday, March 23, 2009 at his home.
He was born on March 9, 1940 in Abingdon to Wayne and Margaret (Simkins) Cramer. He married Sally Marks on June 24, 1962 at the Abingdon United Methodist Church. He later married Janet Ogden.
Ted is survived by his son, Christopher, (and Stephanie) Cramer of Coal Valley, his granddaughters Samantha and Rebecca, one sister Linda (and John) Hansen of San Joaquin, CA, a niece Julie Sporhase of Colorado and a nephew Todd Lincoln of Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Donna Lincoln.
Ted grew up in Abingdon and graduated from Abingdon High School in 1958. He later graduated from the Mid-State College of Commerce in Peoria. He was drafted into the US Army and served from 1963 until 1965. Ted then worked at the former Gale Products in Galesburg as a cost accountant. He later sold real estate for 15 years and had last worked in financial and insurance sales for AXA Equitable retiring in 2007.
He was a member of the Abingdon United Methodist Church. He was a past member of the Abingdon Kiwanis Club, was a member of the American Legion. His hobbies included the New Horizon Senior Group in Galesburg and working part-time.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, March 26, 2009 at the Abingdon United Methodist Church. Rev. Paul Dinges will officiate. Burial will be in the Abingdon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Thursday at the church. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Celiac Disease Foundation or the Abingdon United Methodist Church.

76, 510 W. Sanborn St., Galesburg, died at 7:55 AM Wednesday, March 18, 2009 in OSF St. Mary Medical Center.
She was born May 5, 1932 in Peoria, IL, the daughter of William Clyde and Kathryn Emily Rapp DeGroot. She married Franklin Eugene Douglas on January 14, 1950 in Yates City, IL. He preceded her in death on September 14, 1995.
She is survived by a son, Steve E. (and Theresa) Douglas of Reno, NV, a daughter, Kathy D. (and Jeffrey) Finch of Galesburg, 5 grandchildren, Michael Finch, Brandy Finch, Christy Noggle, David Douglas, and Shirley Douglas, 7 great grandchildren, and a sister, Martha Goddard of Ormond Beach, FL. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers.
Shirley was a homemaker. She lived in Peoria and Elmwood, attending Elmwood High School. She has lived in Galesburg since 1950. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, where she was active with the Ladies Aid and the Widow’s Club. Shirley was also a member of TOPS IL 611 for 41 years, Knox County Homemakers Extension, and the Widow’s and Widower’s Group of Galesburg. She had been a leader for the Knox County 4-H.
Funeral will be 10:30 AM Tuesday in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. The Rev. Daniel Smith will officiate. Visitation will be 5:30 to 7 PM Monday at the chapel. He was born November 20, 1915 in Galesburg, the son of Thomas and Pearl Wilson Loveridge. He married Mary L. Smith on October 17, 1935 in Shanghai, IL. She preceded him in death on July 6, 1984.
He is survived by a son, Jim (and Marsha) Loveridge of Keithsburg, IL, 2 daughters, Loretta (and Dan Gilliam) Loveridge of Woodhull, IL and Alta Kay (and Gary) Pittard of Appleton, GA, a daughter-in-law, Lucille Loveridge of Augusta, GA, 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, a sister, Opal Gillian of Milwaukee, WI, and his caregiver, Cathy Berry of Galesburg. He was preceded in death by a son, David Loveridge, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Roger was a die setter for 30 years at the former Admiral Corporation. He retired in 1981. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapshooting, and playing cards, especially Pitch. His family was very important to him and he was devoted to his grandchildren.

91, 270 Highland Ave., Galesburg, died at 7:22 AM Wednesday, March 18, 2009 in Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
He was born September 25, 1917 in Kewanee, IL, the son of Clifford and Nellie Page Rogers. He married Marion Conner on December 6, 1941 in Kewanee. She survives.
Also surviving is a son, Robert (and Patty) Rogers of Chicago, a daughter, Patricia Kelly of Chicago, 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and a sister.
Jack was a field representative for the Illinois Credit Union League for 25 years. He graduated from Kewanee High School in 1935. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He also was a member of the Lions Club, the Moose Lodge, and OAKS.
Jack served in the United States Army for 15 months at Fort Lewis, Washington at the end of World War II.
Funeral will be 11 AM Friday at the First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dr. Scott Grulke will officiate. Visitation will be 9 to 11 AM Friday at the church. Ron was a dishwasher at Soangetaha Country Club from 1998 to 2003. He was Employee of the Year there in 2001. He was also a self employed shoe shiner. He attended First Lutheran Church.

57, 722 Eiker Drive, Knoxville, died at 6:20 PM Monday, March 16, 2009 at home.
He was born September 9, 1951 in Galesburg, the son of Willard E. and Barbara D. Ward Gibbs. He married Cathy E. Irsch on July 2, 1983 in Galesburg. She survives.
Also surviving is a son, Casey W. Gibbs of Knoxville and a sister, Sandra (and William) Burkett of Bristol, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Greg worked for Illinois Power Company for over 31 years as a gas journeyman and electrician journeyman. He retired March 8, 2004. He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1969 and received a drafting degree from Morrison Institute of Technology.
Greg enjoyed sports, especially football, baseball, and golf. He was a member of Lake Bracken Country Club and enjoyed spending time with his friends.

She was born June 20, 1924 in Peoria Heights, IL, the daughter of Harry and Myrtle Parkin Damarin. She married Wallace E. Newswander on November 6, 1955 in Peoria Heights. He preceded her in death on October 2, 1997.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Beth A. Newswander of Galesburg and Deborah (and Edward) Johnson of Peoria, 3 grandchildren, Jason Johnson, Kara Erwin, and Michael Johnson, 3 great grandchildren, Logan, Madison, and Horatio, a sister, Bonnie Carter of Metamora, IL, and a caregiver and special friend, Freda Norris of Galesburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and a grandson.
Rojean was a homemaker. She also worked in restaurants and babysat. She graduated from Peoria Woodruff High School. She had lived in Galesburg for the past 20 years. Rojean was a former member of the Illinois Valley Lakes Country Club in Peoria.
