87, of 275 E. Carl Sandburg Dr. Galesburg, IL, died at 4:55 AM Saturday January 26, 2002 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg, IL.
She was born on March 28, 1914 in Versailles IL to William O. and Dora I. (Douglas) Harding. She married James C. Fox in Galesburg on May 31, 1934. He preceded her in death. She then married John F. Stacel in Qunicy IL on November 19, 1955. He preceded her in death on February 15, 1986.
She is survived by a daughter, Betty (and Don) Godsil of Galesburg, IL and a brother, Edwin Harding of Galesburg, IL. Four brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.
She worked at Admiral Division of Maytag for 15 years, retiring in 1962. She also worked as an elevator operator in the Hill Arcade for 20 years. She was a member of the Colonial Baptist Church in Galesburg.
Her funeral will be 10:00 AM Tuesday January 29, 2002 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Pastor Robert Eshleman officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg. Visitation will be from 6:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday January 28, 2002 at the Chapel. Memorials may be made to Harmony Baptist Church.
