48, of 1400 Lindsay Lane Galesburg, IL, died at 10:45 AM Saturday February 23, 2002 at his home.
He was born on February 24, 1953 in Schowen ME to Francis O and Lorraine M. (Colby) Rice. He married Vicki W. Abel in Galesburg on September 9, 2000. She survives.
Also surviving are a step-daughter, Kelly Miller of Galesburg, IL, two step-sons, Neal Syrkel of Galesburg, IL and Scott Syrkel of Appleton, WI, a sister, Lorraine Sawyer of Bellmawr, NJ and a step grandson Gage Miller of Galesburg. A brother preceded him in death.
He drove for CX Roberson in Champaign IL for 14 years. He was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Galesburg.
Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday February 27, 2002 at Faith United Methodist Church with Rev. Kevin Treptow officiating. Memorials may be made to Faith United Methodist Church. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
