Mr. Andrew T. Mullen, Galesburg Chapel

63, 635 W. Losey St., Galesburg, IL, formerly of Ottumwa, IA, went home to be with the Lord at 8:32 PM Thursday, October 19, 2006.
He was born October 25, 1942 in Ottumwa, the son of George Patrick and Winnie Olive Chadwick Mullen. He married Cynthia “Cindy” Blumer on March 7, 1970 in Ottumwa. She survives.
Also surviving is a son, Scott (and Lindsay) Mullen, Moline, IL, 2 granddaughters, 3 sisters, Irene Livesay, St. Louis Park, MN and Helen Louise (and Frank) Cole and Caroline Jean Mullen, both of Sioux Falls, SD, a brother, George Wayne (and Janice) Mullen, North Carolina, his mother-in-law, Merlyn Blumer, Ottumwa, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law.
He worked at Honeywell in Minneapolis, MN and Outboard Marine Corporation in Galesburg until they closed. He then was a delivery driver for Turner Pharmacy and Econofoods Pharmacy in Galesburg for several years. He then was a driver for Black Railroad Transit Service and currently for Renzenburger Railroad Service.
He graduated from Ottumwa High School and attended North Central Bible College in Minneapolis and Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg.
Andy was also involved with the ministry at the Galesburg Rescue Mission and with the Royal Rangers at the Assembly of God Church in Galesburg.
Graveside service will be 11 AM Tuesday in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Ottumwa. The Rev. George Mullen will officiate. Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM Monday in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. A dinner will follow the graveside service in Selix Hall at the First Pentecostal Church in Ottumwa for family and close friends. Memorials can be made to the family.   2. I AM VERY SORRY TO HEAR OF ANDY’S PASSING. HE WAS SUCH A KIND PERSON ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP IN ANYWAY HE COULD. HE WILL BE WITH THE FATHER NOW. MAY GOD BLESS ALL THE FAMILY!
