Mr. William F. (Bill) Johnson, Galesburg Chapel

43, 1287 Spruce Ave., Galesburg, died at 6:50 PM Tuesday, November 21, 2006 in OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL.
He was born May 1, 1963 in Galesburg, the son of Wendell O. (Red) and Dolores A. Driffill Johnson. He married Debbie S. Howard-Bair on October 28, 1997 in Galesburg. She survives.
Also surviving are his parents, “Red” and Dolores Johnson of Galesburg, a brother, Russ R. (and Kim) Johnson, Dekalb, IL, a sister, Linda D. Johnson, Galesburg, and several nieces and a nephew.
He was a truck driver for Eby Brown for 19 years. He was working at their Montgomery, IL facility, but had worked at the Galesburg facility prior to that. He lived in Galesburg all of his life and graduated from Galesburg High School in 1982. He was baptized into the Lutheran faith. He was a member of the Elks Lodge 894. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and NASCAR.
Cremation will be accorded. Memorial service will be 11:30 AM Monday, November 27, 2006 in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. The Rev. Lee Johnson will officiate. Visitation will be 2 to 4 PM Sunday at the chapel. Private family burial of cremated remains will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials can be made to the Elks Crippled Childrens Fund.   1. It was great seeing you in Vegas! I was glad I was able to be there for your vacation. All the great times from high school and after. You will be missed, but always with us.
