Mr. Herbert G. Rosine

91, of Kansas City, MO, formerly of Galesburg, died at 5:50 PM Thursday March 21, 2002 at Baptist Medical Center, Kansas City, MO.
He was born on January 16, 1911 in Galesburg to Axel and Maria (Anderson) Rosine. He married Edna D. Anderson in Galesburg on January 6, 1946. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Lyle (and Ellen) Rosine of Batavia, IL and Philip Rosine of Forsyth, MT, a sister, Carol (and Robert) Schroeder of Kansas City, MO and three grandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
He was an auto mechanic for many years, retiring in 1974. He owned E & H Auto Repair. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church where he served on its Board. He served in the Army during World War II.
His funeral will be 1:30 PM Tuesday March 26, 2002 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Paul Johnson and Rev. Frederick E. Larner officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg. Visitation will be from 12:30 P.M. to 1:30 P.M. Tuesday at the Chapel. Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church.

  1. Herbert was my Uncle. I can as a small child remember him returning from the war.

    I spent many hours in his his garage as he taught me to wok on my own car as teenager..
