84, of 1339 Knox Hwy 25, Galesburg, IL died at 6 PM Saturday August 25, 2007 in OSF St. Mary Medical Center.
He was born April 25, 1923 in Youngstown, IL the son of Irwin and Emily A. Nordgren Watt. He married Frances M. Emstrom in Galesburg on November 24, 1951. She survives.
He worked as a dairy farmer for 30 years, retiring in 1980. He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1940. He was a member of the Knox County Farm Bureau. He was a 4-H leader for several years. He was a caregiver for Henry Inness for 6 years. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, where he and his wife made the communion bread for several years. They also enjoyed making candies for friends.
Cremation will be accorded. There will be no visitation. Graveside services to be held at a later date in East Linwood Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church or Galesburg Rescue Mission. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
