Mrs. Ruby E. Bailey, Galesburg Chapel
92, formerly of 563 Maple Ave., Galesburg died at 11:10 PM Wednesday in Heartland Health Care Center.
She was born July 8, 1915 in Woodhull, IL the daughter of Edward and Christina Peterson. She married William L. Bailey on June 28, 1941 in Lincoln, NE. He died September 21, 2001.
She is survived by one daughter, Carol (and Robert) Simpson of Galesburg and one grandson, Brad Simpson of Galesburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, JoAnn Bailey, and two sisters.
She worked for the former Black’s Hardware for several years. She was a homemaker. She graduated from Alpha High School. She was a member of the Gale Products Retirees Club. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
Graveside services are scheduled for 1:30 PM Saturday January 26, 2008 in Woodhull Cemetery, Woodhull, IL. The Rev. Tom Larsen will officiate. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.

You have my deepest sympathy. I met Ruby in Sept. She was a room mate of a friend, Berniece. I had the opportunity to talk with her on a few occasions and enjoyed her tremendously. She was interesting to talk to. She loved her family and spoke of her grandson often. She enjoyed telling about his travels.
