Mrs. Audrey M. Anderson, Galesburg Chapel
72, of Henderson, Ill. died at 10:15 PM Thursday February 25, 2010 in OSF St. Mary Medical Center.
She was born August 4, 1937 in Galesburg the daughter of Ellwood Julian and Nora Gertrude Peters Preston. She married Jack Harding. She later married Clarence J. Anderson on April 28, 1972 in Galesburg. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Mike (Debby) Harding of Galesburg and Larry Harding of Galesburg; one step son, John (Barb) Anderson of Knoxville, Ill.; a step daughter, Rhonda (Bob) Fones of Knoxville, Ill.; one sister, Wanda (Jerry) Whetsell of Bartonville, Ill.; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.
She was a homemaker. She loved being at the river, camping, working in her yard and her flowers. She enjoyed being a grandmother very much. She loved her family and friends.
Celebration of Life will be from 1:00-4:00 PM Sunday February 28, 2010 at the Labor Temple. Cremation will be accorded. Memorials may be made to the family. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
I am so saddened by Audrey’s passing. She was a great woman and treated me like one of her boys. She always greeted me with a hug and a smile. She will surely be missed by all who knew her. My thoughts and prayers go out to all family and friends at this difficult time.
