85, of 672 Beecher Ave., Galesburg, IL died at 12:42 PM, Thursday, February 6, 2003 in Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
She was born October 30, 1917 in Winfield, IA to William and Mary Kirkpatrick. She married Gale R. Field on December 19, 1941 in Memphis, MO. He survives.
Also surviving is a sister, Mary Lucille Roth of Tucson, AZ and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother and four sisters.
She was a nurse’s aide at Galesburg Cottage Hospital for several years. She was an office manager for Dr. Smart and several other dentist offices and other businesses. She was a secretary for her husband with the Order of Railroad Conductors for 15 years. She was a volunteer at Galesburg Cottage Hospital for over 20 years, working at the visitor’s information desk until her recent illness. She graduated from high school in Olds, Iowa. She had lived in Galesburg since 1939. She attended First Presbyterian Church, Galesburg.
Graveside services will be 11:30 AM Tuesday February 11, 2003 in Henderson (IL) Cemetery with Rev. Norman Myer officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Tuesday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Memorials can be made to Galesburg Rescue Mission and Women’s Shelter or a charity of the donors’ choice.
