62, of RR 1, Wataga, IL died Saturday February 8, 2003 at 3:45 PM at his home.
He was born on August 9, 1940 to Harvey and Mabel (Chapman) Heady. He married Joyce Easley on December 10, 1961 in Galesburg, IL She preceded him in death July 24, 1988.
He is survived by his parents, Harvey and Mabel Heady of Wataga, IL, a son, Doug (and Cheryl) Heady of Wataga, IL, a daughter, Mrs. Tony (Debbie) McKillip of Galesburg, IL, a brother, Larry Heady of Alaska, two sisters, Mrs. Kenny (Linda) Harmison and Mrs. Tracy (Judy) Knisely, both of Galesburg, IL and six grandchildren.
He was a farmer and an electrician for Maytag Corporation for 43 years, retiring in 2001. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Henderson Grove, IL, the Prairie Drifters Snowmobile Club and the Maytag Electrical Union.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday February 12, 2003 at the Messiah Lutheran Church with Rev. Kurt Carlsen officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Messiah Lutheran Church.
