Mrs. Martha “Pat” Bjoin, Abingdon Chapel
age 57 of Mason City, Iowa and formerly of Abingdon, Illinois, died at 3:03pm Friday, April 27, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center in Mason City.
She was born on July 19th 1954 in St. Paul Minnesota, the daughter of John and Vera L. Ramsey. She married Art Bjoin on May 29th, 1971 in St. Paul. He survives.
Also surviving are her children, Doug (Terry) Bjoin of Mason City, Iowa, Jenny (Eli) Boone of Abingdon, Illinois, Angela (Sean) Pittman of Galesburg, Illinois, Sara Bjoin of Peoria, Illinois, and Heather Bjoin of Abingdon, Illinois. Pat also has 12 beautiful grandchildren that she loved dearly. She is also survived by one brother, William (and Jeanne) Ramsey of Roseville, Minnesota; four sisters, Mary (and Marvin) Kohel of Forest Lake, Minnesota, Betty (and John) Flier of Swan River, Minnesota, Shirley (and Phillip) Grauel of Kansas City, Missouri and Theresa (and Dave) Anderson of Crystal, Minnesota; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Robert “Bob” Ramsey, and one sister, Minnie Joos.
She was a loving mother and friend to many. She ran a home day care in Abingdon, Illinois for over ten years and has changed the lives of dozens of children she looked after.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel. Rev. Lee Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Abingdon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 10:00 am Wednesday at the chapel.

I always thought of Pat as a caring, loving, wonderful women. Our family was so blessed to have her in our life.She always treated our children like her own. She was the best! We Have many great memories.
