Journeying through Grief

The death of a loved one changes many thing in a person’s life.  The experiences you have had might be new to you but they are common to many other people.

For many years we have partnered with different community organizations to offer a free program for people that have experienced loss, just like you.

This spring we are partnering with Beacon of Hope Hospice.  Journeying Through Grief is a six week program that will begin on Monday, May 12 and run for six Monday nights ending on June 23.  (There will not be a program on Memorial Day.)  It will explore various topics of loss including “A Mourner’s Bill of Rights,” tips for celebrating the holidays, common grief reactions, and compound grief.

All of the programs will be held at the First Lutheran Church.  The church is located at the corner of Seminary and Waters Streets in Galesburg.  The programs will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Beacon of Hope Community Chaplin Vince Marolla will moderate all of the programs.

To register for this free series of programs, contact the funeral home.
