Mrs. Marilyn E. Dillin, 90, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 6:15 am Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville, Illinois.

Marilyn was born May 21, 1927 in Geneseo, Illinois the daughter of Carl and Leona Stankey Hull.  She married Charley Dillin in 1948 in Geneseo, Illinois.

Surviving are her three sons, Adrian (Vickie) Dillin of Galesburg, Brian (Linda) Dillin both of Galesburg and Wayne Dillin of Sturgis, South Dakota; six daughters, Carolyn Dillin of Canton, Illinois, Patricia (Paul) Bicknell of Richland Center, Wisconsin, Rebecca (Mark) Brown of Marshall, Wisconsin, Christine Peterson of Kewanee, Illinois, Nancy Wilkinson of Galesburg and Melody De LaCruz of Kewanee; two brothers, William Hull of Coal Valley, Illinois and Jack Hull of Illinois; three sisters, Priscilla “Sally” Taylor of Peoria, Illinois, Janet (Jerry) Rusk of Coal Valley, Illinois and Corrine Johnson of the Quad Cities; 14 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her son, David Dillin February 21, 2006 and a number of brothers.

She attended Geneseo High School, graduating in 1945.  Marilyn was a member of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. She spent her life as a homemaker for her family. She was known as an extremely good cook, making everything from scratch.

Memorial Services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Deacon Michael Crummer will officiate. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date.  Memorials may be made to the Knox County Nursing Home. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
