Miss Melissa D. Goodwin

Miss Melissa D. Goodwin, 35, of Galesburg, Illinois died 3:35 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Genesis Hospital in Aledo, Illinois. 

She was born May 6, 1982 in Galesburg to Steven A. Goodwin and Robin Selfridge. 

Surviving are her parents, Steve and Mary Goodwin of Cameron and Robin and Matthew Phieffer of Galesburg, a sister, Kelly (and Mike) Derry of Kansas City Missouri and several aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Melissa graduated from Galesburg High School in 2000 and attended Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg.  She worked for Maytag, the former Econo Foods and was a waitress for several area restaurants. 

Cremation will be accorded.  Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at East Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg.  There will be no visitation.  Memorials may be made to Knox County Humane Society or the Wounded Warriors Project.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
