Mr. Benito R. Diaz

Mr. Benito R. Diaz, 72,  of Galesburg passed away at 9:59 pm Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.

Benito was born March 19, 1947 in La Esperanza Mexico the son of Antonio and Antonia Juarez Diaz. He married Evangelina Diaz in La Esperanza. She survives.

Also surviving are his children, Raul (and Julia) Diaz of Texas, Ramon (and Bertha) Diaz, Juan (and Virginia) Diaz and Benito (Sara) Diaz all of Galesburg, Evangelina (and Jesus) of Kewanee, Illinois; his brothers, Ramon Diaz of Kewanee, Espino of California, Jesus Diaz, Jose Diaz, Eliseo Diaz, Antonio Diaz, Miguel Diaz and Arturo Diaz all of Mexico and fifteen grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Victor Diaz.

Benito worked for several years for PSSI Manufacturing in Smithfield, Illinois. He had attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 pm Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel. Visitation will be from 10:00-1:00 PM Saturday at the chapel. Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com
