Brian E. Roberts, 56, of Wataga, died at 9:30 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2018 at home.

He was born January 12, 1962, in Galesburg, the son of Edwin C. and Norma (Landon) Roberts. He married Karen Drake on June 19, 1993, in Wataga.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 25 years, Karen; his father, Edwin Roberts of Galesburg; a step son, Matthew (fiancée Julie Benham) Tucker of Wataga; a step daughter, Kara (Asa) Woolsey of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; one granddaughter, Elanora Woolsey; and five sisters, Jeanie Berryhill of Moline, Patti (Gary) Shanks in Ohio, Teresa (Joe) Smith of Galesburg, Robin (Mike) Kilgore of Galesburg, and Penny (Jake) Bass of Rock Island. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Brian worked for Butler Manufacturing Company for 17 years and then Gates Rubber Company for six years. He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1980 and attended Carl Sandburg College.

Brian served in the United States Marine Corps.

Cremation will be accorded. Private family services will be held. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the Knox County Humane Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
