Mr. Clifford John Nyman

Mr. Clifford John Nyman, 100, of Galesburg, Illinois, formerly of Wisconsin, died at 9:17 a.m. Monday, November 13, 2017 at Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville, Illinois.

He was born May 28, 1917 in Appleton, Wisconsin, the son of John and Della Manville Nyman. He married Mae Ferron on October 28, 1939 in Neenah, Wisconsin. She preceded him in death.

Clifford is survived by his daughter, Amber L. (Robert) Clark of Galesburg; daughter-in-law, Sharon Nyman of Racine, Wisconsin; three grandchildren, Tim (Betsy) Nyman, Rob (Claire) Clark and Kathryn (Michael Fiala) Nyman; and seven great grandchildren, Owen Clark, August Clark, Asher Clark, Ellis Clark, Rebecca Nyman, Ethan Fiala and Jordan Fiala. He is further survived by a foster daughter, Jeanne Horton of Palmdale, California and a special niece, Sandra Birling of Menasha, Wisconsin. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his son, Thomas Nyman, who passed away in July 2017.

Clifford worked as a photo engraver and as a musician for many years. He graduated from Neenah High school in 1935. He was a former member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Neenah, Wisconsin.

Services will be held at a later date in Wisconsin. Cremation will be accorded. Hinchliff-Pearson West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services of Galesburg is assisting the family with local arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
