Mr. Curtis Melin Linner, 87, of Galesburg, Illinois passed away at 9:00 am Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Aperion Care-North (former Rosewood Care Center).

He was born May 21, 1931 in Galesburg, the son of Herman and Lillie Melin Linner. He married Edith Murphy Dahlstrom on December 31, 1952 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Surviving is his wife of 66 years, Edith of Galesburg; his daughter, Sandra (Bill) Anderson of Galesburg; his brother-in-law, Marv (Rosie) Murphy of Mason City, Iowa; two grandsons, Nate (Jane Martin) Anderson of Morton, Illinois and Nick Anderson of Galesburg; and several nieces and nephews. Curtis is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, John Louis Linner and Kenneth Linner.

Curtis worked for the United States Post Office as a clerk for over 26 years. He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1949. Curtis served his country as a Pfc. in the Marines. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan. Curtis was a member of First Lutheran Church.

Private family graveside services will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Pamela Marolla will officiate. No visitation is scheduled.
