Donald Lee Wilson, 60, of Galesburg, died at 6:35 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018 in OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born June 14, 1957, in Canton, Illinois, the son of Wayne D. and Shirley J. Wilson.
He is survived by brothers and sisters, Darlene (Ray) Pine of Oneida, Wayne Wilson of Monmouth, Sue (the late Ronnie) Taylor of Monmouth, Lucy Shannon of Galesburg, and Gerald (Sally) Wilson of Alexis; a sister-in-law, Shirley Fluke; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Melvin Wilson; and three nephews.
Don worked as a farm hand for many years. Most recently, he was working for Kinsey Machine Shop in Galesburg. He graduated from Warren High School and Carl Sandburg College.
Donald served in the United States Marine Corps from 1978 to 1983.
Cremation will be accorded. Graveside memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2018 in Silent Home Cemetery in Cameron. Military honors will be provided by VFW 2257/Legion 285 Veterans Honor Guard. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
