Mr. Jared Ray Larson

Mr. Jared R. Larson, 20, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 7:11 pm Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Aperion Care Center.

He was born April 7, 1997 in Davenport, Iowa the son of Jeffrey and Julie Jones Larson.

Jared is survived by his parents, Jeffrey and Julie Larson of Galesburg; his sister, Jordan Larson of Galesburg; his grandmother Carol Lindley of Galesburg; his grandparents, Gary and Karen Jones of Rock Island, Illinois; his Uncle Paul and Aunt Jennifer Weiner of Rock Island.

Jared was of the Christian faith. He loved to play Xbox and Play Station. He was an avid sports fan, enjoying basketball, football and baseball. He was a St. Louis Cardinal fan, an Iowa Hawkeye fan and Indianapolis Colts fan.  Jared was a positive and very optimistic kid despite his struggles with muscular dystrophy. He gave great thanks to his mother for her years of continuous care.

A Celebration of Jared’s Life will be 1:00 pm Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Central Congregational Church. Rev. Sterrett Collins will officiate. Cremation will be accorded.
