Mr. Jeffrey Summers

Jeffrey Summers, 66, of Galesburg, entered into eternal peace at 6:37 p.m. Friday, September 14, 2018 in Galesburg.

He was born August 1, 1952, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Ardelia Summers and Harvey Crutchfield.

Jeff leaves to cherish his memory Janet Peyton, of Galesburg, the mother of his two eldest children, Stephanie (Johnell) Lewis-Beamon and Danielle Lewis, both of Southaven, Mississippi; Linda Randle, of Galesburg, mother of his son, Ramondo (Michelle) Randle of Burlington, Iowa; former wife, Sharicka (Mark) Evans-Carter of Rantoul, mother of his sons, Quincy Summers of Rantoul and Eugene (Jennifer) Summers of Champaign; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four siblings, Jerrilyn Summers, Phillip Summers, and Joyce Summers, all of Cincinnati and David Taylor of Galesburg; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Jason Lewis.

Jeff worked for Baltimore Air Coil in Paxton for 17 years, retiring in 1997.  He enjoyed fishing, watching sports, and listening to music.

Cremation will be accorded.  Memorial visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
