Mr. Kenneth D. Leedom

Mr. Kenneth D. Leedom, 89, of Henderson, Illinois died at 8:13 am Monday April 29, 2019 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

He was born June 10, 1929 in Glenwood, Missouri the son of James Hobart and Audria Irene Phillips Leedom. He married Doris Darlene Barker on November 10, 1948. He later married Shirley Barnes-Bingham on December 31, 1971 in Kahoka, Missouri. She preceded him in death in 2005.

Kenny is survived by his daughter, Marsha (the late Glen G.) Davis, Jr. of Rock Island, Illinois; his step daughter, Pat (Dean) Knisley of Wyaconda, Missouri; his sister, Carol (the late Bill) Munley of Arkansas City, Kansas; two grandchildren, Todd A. Franklin and Glen G. Davis III and three step grandchildren, James and Brian Knisely, and Tara Neves; two nephews, David Wise and James Munley and two nieces, Karen Pavka and Teresa (Gerald) Buesing. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a step son, Michael Bingham, his sister, Doris Wise and two nephews, Kenny Ray Wise and Gary Vest.

Kenny worked for the former CB & Q Railroad and retired from Burlington Northern Santa Fe as a conductor. He was a member of the local union. Kenny enjoyed playing golf at Bunker Links in the morning and noon golf leagues.

A time of remembrance and refreshments will be held from 4:00-6:00 pm Friday, May 3, 2019 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel.
