Mr. Robert A. “Bobby” Lovell, 66, of Knoxville, Illinois died 12:25 a.m. Monday, November 26, 2018 at the Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville.
He was born February 5, 1952 in Princeton, Illinois to Robert E. and Virginia I. Salsman Lovell. He married Kimberly Jo Helton August 17, 1991 in Galesburg. She survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Jessica (and Cade) Fogerty of Galesburg, Becky (and Chad) Dennis of Shorewood, Wisconsin and Stacy Ruscheinsky of Schaumburg, Illinois, two brothers, Ronald (and Pamela) Lovell of Perry Park, Kentucky and Darrell (and Nancy) Lovell of Galesburg and three grandchildren, Taylor Dennis, Ellie Dennis and Lexi Ruscheinsky. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bobby was a mechanic for 40 years and owned and operated Lovell’s Auto in Galesburg until March of 2016. He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1970 and attended Illinois Central Community College in East Peoria, Illinois. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and the Masonic Alpha Lodge #32 in Galesburg. He coached his daughters T-ball and basketball teams in Knoxville. He enjoyed traveling and remodeling houses. Bobby loved cars and motorcycles and was a member of the Limited Rods Car Club in Galesburg.
Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2018 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel. Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the chapel. Chaplain Jordan Knight will officiate. Burial will be in Knoxville Cemetery, Knoxville.
