Mr. Steve Armstrong Obituary

Steve Armstrong, 68, of Galesburg, died at 9:38 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2018 in Rosewood Care Center.

He was born January 16, 1950, in Carbondale, the son of Lawrence G. and Juanita L. (Lamer) Armstrong.

He is survived by two brothers, Gary (Sue) Armstrong of Galesburg and Randy (Theresa) Armstrong of Springfield; three nieces, Brittany (Jimmy) Clayton of Chatham and Hannah and Sarah Armstrong, both of Springfield; a nephew, Michael Armstrong of Normal; and three great nieces.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Steve graduated from Galesburg High School in 1968.  He attended Western Illinois University.

Steve had been a HAM Radio operator.  He enjoyed history, collecting coins, playing board games, and weightlifting.  Christmas was his favorite holiday and he always enjoyed putting up the tree and decorating it.

It has been said a man's worth can measured by how much he loves and is loved.  By this measure, Steve's life was rich.

"And think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched...for nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved so much.  "His Journey's Just Begun, by Ellen Brenneman.
