Mrs. Donna P. (Tadie) Peterson

Mrs. Donna P. Peterson, 83, of Las Vegas, Nevada formerly of Galesburg, Illinois died Thursday, March 29, 2018 in Las Vegas. 

She was born November 12, 1934 in Galesburg to Evon and Filka Tadie.  She married Donald L. Peterson in Galesburg.  He survives. 

Also surviving is a son John M. (and Lindy) Peterson of Galesburg, a daughter, Sarah Jane (and Joe) Scott of Las Vegas, five grandchildren, Lori (and Aaron) Ellison, Leanne (and Brad) Simpson, Mike (and Beth) Peterson, Hayley (and Michael) Knuth and Abby Peterson and eight great grandchildren Austyn, Jadyn, Braelyn, Khloe, Sawyer, Bria, Carina and Avery.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Evon and Filka Tadie, her son, Fred Peterson on December 15, 2009, five brothers, Joseph, Joe, Michael, Pete, and Thomas and two sisters, Franny and Liz. 

Donna graduated from Corpus Christi High School in Galesburg.  She worked for the former Glastex in in Monmouth, Illinois and the former Anderson Florist in Galesburg for 15 years.  She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.  She was a member of Galesburg Woman’s Club, the Elkettes and member and past president of the Jayceettes.  Donna was an avid bridge player and tennis player. 

Cremation was accorded.  A graveside memorial service will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2018 at St. Joseph Cemetery, Galesburg.  Deacon Michael Crummer will officiate.  Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel.  Memorials may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Galesburg.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
