Mrs. Dorothy E. (Deem) Snyder

Mrs. Dorothy E. Snyder, 84, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 4:55 am Monday, September 10, 2018 at Seminary Manor Nursing Home.

She was born October 14, 1933 in Galesburg. She married Robert A. Snyder on May 1, 1952 in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on August 31, 2010.

Dorothy is survived by her two sons, David J. Snyder of Galesburg and Robert D. (Denice) Snyder of Watauga, Texas; her two daughters, Linda E. (Terry) Bond of Abingdon, Illinois and Debra L. (Terry) Lannholm of Galesburg; nine grandchildren, James R. Bond, Tyler J. (Traci) Lannholm, Daniel W. (Natascha) Bond, Tobias E. (Amber) Lannholm, Andrea M. (Donald) Monroe, Sarah J. Lannholm, Robert J. “Joey” Snyder, Pierce Snyder and Jordan Snyder and nine great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and four sisters.

Dorothy was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Dorothy enjoyed playing BUNKO and was a member of the JOH Club. She loved knitting and traveling, camping and boating with her husband.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Friday, September 14, 2018 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services, Galesburg. Rev. Frank Langholf will officiate. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or Charity of the donor’s choice.
