Mrs. Faith M. (Kenyon) Dean

Mrs. Faith M. Dean, 80, of Rio, Illinois died at 9 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2018 in Seminary Manor in Galesburg.

She was born July 13, 1938 in Mechanicville, New York, the daughter of Thomas and Alice (Alvarez) Kenyon.  She married L. Robert Dean on July 2, 1988 in Half Moon Township, New York.

Faith is survived by her husband of 30 years, Bob; her children, Dr. Victoria “Vicki” Callagan of Troy, New York, Amy (Dan) Mahoney of Voorheesville, New York, Josh (Lis) Cinelli of Fort Worth, Texas, Justin (Brittany) Dean of Dahinda, Illinois, and Zack (Melanie) Dean of Latham, New York; her brother, David (Gloria) Kenyon of McKinney, Texas; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Faith worked as a paralegal for many years in New York.  She had also served as an executive secretary for different organizations.  She has lived in Rio for the past 23 years, California for 10 years before that, and in Castleton-On-Hudson, New York before that.  Faith was a member of the Rio Women’s Group and held all the officer positions within the group.  She was an avid reader and oil painter.  She was a member of the Red Hat Society.  In the winter months, Faith and Bob lived in different condominiums including Cypress on Winkler Road and most recently Heritage Palm Estates in Fort Myers, Florida.  Faith enjoyed meeting for lunch weekly with the condo association social group.  Faith was of the Catholic faith.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, July 27, 2018 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel.  Deacon Michael Crummer will officiate.  Visitation will be 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel.  Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
