Mrs. Isal L. Anderson

Isal Lucile Anderson, 86, of Galesburg, died at 5:45 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2017, in Rosewood Care Center.

She was born February 27, 1931, in Monmouth, the daughter of Harry Lee and Blanche Lucile (Gebhart) Mead.  She married Charles Wendell Anderson on October 29, 1950, in Alexis.  He preceded her in death July 14, 1989.

She is survived by a son, Richard L. (and Linda) Anderson of Viola; three daughters, Wendy (and Arnold) Finkelstein, Melinda (and Don) Stewart, and Melissa Anderson, all of Montgomery, Alabama; three grandchildren, Jarrod Anderson, Erin Waymoth, and Andrea (and Mark) Cecil-Mulla; three great grandchildren, Jessica, Christopher, and Vivian; and a sister, Inez Kennett of Galesburg.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Isal was a bookkeeper and cashier at Tractor Supply Company for 26 years, before retiring.  She was raised and educated in Alexis, graduating from Alexis High School.  She was a member of the Covenant Church in Galesburg.  Isal was also a member of the Mothers of Twins Club and the American Business Women’s Association.

Cremation will be accorded.  Graveside memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in North Henderson.  Rev. Tom Ek will officiate.  There will be no visitation.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice Compassus.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services of Galesburg is handling arrangements for the family.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
