Jacqueline Louise “Jackie” Priebe, 89, of Maquon, died at 10:35 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2018, at home.
She was born September 26, 1929, in Williamstown, Missouri, the daughter of Hurly and Fanny (Duer) McClain. She married Johnny Basil Priebe July 18, 1946, in Canton, Missouri. He preceded her in death on August 5, 2003.
She is survived by a son, John Christopher “J.C.” Priebe of Gilson; a daughter, Linda Lee (Deke) Norville of Maquon; two grandchildren, Erica Norville and Rob Priebe; and two great grandchildren, Samantha Priebe and Mikayla Norville. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Kenton Keith Priebe; a granddaughter, Suzanne Gonzalez; a grandson, Sean Priebe; a great grandson, Christopher Gonzalez; and her siblings, Max, Bernice, and Lottie Jo.
Jackie was a cook for the executive dining room at the Caterpillar Corporate Offices in Peoria for many years before retirement. She was an active member of the Maquon United Methodist Church and the Maquon United Methodist Women. Jackie enjoyed quilting and reading.
Cremation will be accorded. The family will host a memorial service to honor Jackie’s life at 6:30 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2019, at the Maquon United Methodist Church. Rev. Dan Doty and Rev. Krey Leesman will officiate. There will be no visitation. In lieu of plants and flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.
