Mrs. Kay M. (Luttrell) Coe

Kathlyn “Kay” M. Coe, 89, formerly of Galesburg, died at 2:55 p.m. Monday, November 19, 2018 in the Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville.

She was born March 18, 1929, in Galesburg, the daughter of William O. and K. Irene (Wilk) Luttrell.  She married Donald C. Coe on December 13, 1947, in Galesburg.  He preceded her in death on September 23, 1989.

She is survived by three sons, Jeffery W. Coe and Gregory J. (Patricia) Coe, both of Galesburg, and Donald C. (Shirley) Coe, of West Covina, California; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Marc and Bob.

Kay graduated from Galesburg High School in 1947.  She was a member of Central Congregational Church.  She was very fond of animals.

Cremation will be accorded.  No visitation or service is planned.  Her remains will be buried with her husband in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Central Congregational Church or the Knox County Humane Society.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel is handling arrangements for the family.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
