Mrs. Marion L. (Fiene) Klapp

Mrs. Marion L. Klapp, 89, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 1:30 am Monday, December 3, 2018 at Seminary Manor.

She was born May 17, 1929 in Argonia, Kansas the daughter of Fred G. and Anna M. (Stork) Fiene. She married David E. Klapp in Caldwell, Kansas in 1948. He preceded her in death on June 24, 2013.

Marion is survived by her daughter, Kristie A. (Brad) Zessin of Wheaton, Illinois; her brother, John E. Fiene of Newton, Kansas; one sister, Betty Ray of North Carolina, and three grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sisters, Helen Clevenger and Katherine Smith.

Marion was a homemaker. She graduated from Caldwell Kansas High School in 1947. Marion was a member of the former Emmanuel United Methodist Church.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 17, 2018 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services, Galesburg. Rev. John Baker will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the services at the chapel. Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Beacon of Hope Hospice.
