Mrs. Mary L. (Westberg) Wilson

Mary L. Wilson, 91, of Galesburg, died at 3:50 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018 in Roseville Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

She was born December 13, 1926, in Galesburg, the daughter of Jonas and Christina (Strom) Westberg, who had immigrated to America from Sweden in 1913.  She married Howard O. Wilson on November 20, 1970, in Galesburg.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Howard; two step-sons, Mike Wilson of Deland, Florida and Mark (Cathy) Wilson of Galesburg; a daughter-in-law, Nona Carroll of Galesburg; a step-grandson, Sean (Robin) Lambert; two step-great grandchildren, Nathan and Bethany Lambert of Lakeland, Florida; a brother, Robert Westberg of Connersville, Indiana; a sister, Betty Vanos of Spokane, Washington; a special niece, Sharon (and Steve) Rooney of Springfield, Missouri, and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Carroll Jr. and Richard Carroll; two sisters, Ruth Lester and Miriam Johnson; and a brother, Everett Westberg.

Mary was raised and educated in Galesburg, attending Galesburg schools.  She worked at Gale Products for 14 years and at Lake Point Condos in Minnesota for 10 years before retiring in March of 1994.  She was a member of First Church of God.

Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, May 11, 2018 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel.  Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the chapel.  Pastor Dennis McQuown and Pastor Paul Bickel will officiate.  Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to First Church of God.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
