Mrs. Patricia Annette (Bishop) Crawford

Patricia Annette Crawford, 88, formerly of Aledo, died at 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Rosewood Care Center in Galesburg.

She was born August 24, 1929 in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Lena (Eskew) Bishop.  She married Earl “Jess” Crawford, Jr. on November 3, 1946 in Viola, Illinois.  He preceded her in death on June 21, 2011.

Patricia is survived by a son, R. Michael (Rebecca) Crawford of Galesburg; two grandchildren, Michael Jeffery (Vickie) Crawford and Heather Neen (Tim) Jones; four great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Debbie; a brother; and two sisters.

Patricia and Jess were co-owners of C & J Garage in Aledo for over 15 years.  She had also worked for various retail stores.  She was raised in Peoria until age 12, then lived in Keithsburg for four years before moving to Aledo in 1951.  Patricia had lived in Galesburg the past seven years.  She graduated from Keithsburg High School.  Patricia was a former member of the Aledo Baptist Church.  She was an artist, mainly drawing and painting.

Cremation will be accorded.  No visitation or service is planned.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Knox County Humane Society.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services of Galesburg is handling arrangements.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
