Mrs. Peggy L. (Granberg) Anderson

Mrs. Peggy Lorraine Anderson, 66, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 7:58 a.m. Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Marigold Rehab and Health Care Center.

She was born March 16, 1952 in Galesburg the daughter of Howard R. and Frances R. White Granberg. She married Roger D. Anderson on October 17, 1970 in Galesburg. He survives.

Also surviving is her son, Roger “Sam” (Kristi) Anderson of Abingdon, Illinois; her daughter, Amy Anderson of Galesburg; her brother, Gary Granberg of Galesburg; her sister, Linda Allgeyer-Jacobson of Galesburg; her sister-in-law, Kathy Granberg of Galesburg; two grandchildren, Addisyn and Corinne Anderson and her niece, Farrah Allgeyer and her nephews, Christopher (Barb) Granberg, Jason (Ericka Zar) Granberg and BJ Allgeyer; great nephews, Ben and Henry Granberg. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother-in-law, Brian Allgeyer.

Peggy worked as a clerk for BNSF for 17 years. She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1970. Peggy was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She had volunteered in the nursery and with the youth group at the church. Peggy had served as a Cub Scout, Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader for many years. She enjoyed needle point, M & M’s and playing BINGO.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the chapel. Cremation will follow services. Memorials may be made to Harbor Light Hospice.
