Mrs. Sherri L. (Quinn) Venard

Mrs. Sherri L. (Quinn) Venard, 54 of Kewanee and formerly of Abingdon, passed away at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria with her husband and daughter by her side.

She was born April 28, 1964 in Galesburg, the daughter of Ronald E. “Fish” Quinn, Sr. and Karen K. (Lithander) Quinn.

Sherri is survived by her husband, Danny Venard; her daughter, Kendra Brown of Kewanee; one brother, Thomas L. (and Debbie) Keith, Sr. of Abingdon; one sister, Ronda (and Ronald) Spicher of Galesburg; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and her faithful dog friend, Tucker.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ronald E. “Rock” Quinn, Jr.

Sherri grew up in Abingdon and graduated from Abingdon High School. She later attended Blackhawk College and earned her LPN degree and has worked as a nurse for 30 years. She has lived in the Kewanee area for several years.  She currently worked at Royal Oaks Care Center in Kewanee.  She loved to take care of people.  She was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys and St. Louis Cardinals.  She enjoyed vacations to Cancun and swimming in the pool.

Cremation will be accorded.  Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the Abingdon Cemetery.  A time to continue celebrating Sherri’s life will be held at the Abingdon American Legion following the graveside service.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Abingdon Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
