Mrs. V. Bethene Weber Obituary
V. Bethene Weber, 85 of Abingdon and formerly of London Mills, passed away at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at her home.
She was born August 29, 1933 in London Mills, the daughter of Raymond and Erma (Edmonson) Ulm. She married Norman “Norm” D. Weber on March 18, 1950 in London Mills. He preceded her in death on June 27, 2008.
Bethene is survived by her children, Craig J. (and Missy Douglas) Weber of Galesburg, Robert D. “Bob” (and Peggy) Weber of Edwards and Julia A. (and Richard) Witherell of Abingdon; four grandchildren, Chans (and Whitney) Weber, Cassie Judkins, Drew (and Vanessa) Witherell, and Ashlie (and Ryan) Calkins; and four great-grandchildren, Carter Beck, Taylee Witherell, Scotti Weber, and Annisten Witherell.
She worked as an aide and secretary at Spoon River Valley Schools for 32 years retiring in 1995.
As she requested, private services were held. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Abingdon Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
