Alice M. Hulick

, 96 of Abingdon, died at 6:30 am Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at the Rosewood Care Center in Galesburg. She was born on October 9, 1909 in Louisville, IL to Joseph and Della Wiseman Misselbrook. She married Floyd E. Hulick on October 22, 1932 in Abingdon. He preceded her in death on February 13, 1991. Surviving are one son, Lawrence "Sonny" (and Dee) Hulick of Abingdon; one daughter, Shirley (and Larry) Zimmerman of Sarasota, FL; one sister, Bernice Lee of Arden, NC; 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Linda Kempster, one brother and three sisters. She had lived in Abingdon since 1919 where she attended Lincoln School. She worked as a housekeeper for Dr. J.A. Bowman for 31 years retiring in 1988. She was a member of the Abingdon First Congregational United Church of Christ since 1919. She was also a member of the Abingdon Garden Club and the Grandmothers Club. Graveside service will be at 12:30 pm Saturday, April 15, 2006 at the Avon Cemetery. Rev. M. Annette Faull will officiate. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10:30 am until noon at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel. Memorials may be made to the First Congregational United Church of Christ or the John Mosser Public Library.
