88 of 1780 Berwick Road, passed away at 3:30 pm Thursday, October 6, 2005 at her home west of Abingdon. She was born March 2, 1917 to Bruce and Anna McCamant Pickering in Farmers Township near Table Grove, IL. She graduated from Ipava High School in 1935 as Salutatorian of her class. Alice married Wade T. Weese and together they raised their two children, Joan and Dickson. After they moved to Boulder, CO in 1955, she completed her Licensed Practical Nursing degree and was a charter member of Turnpike Division of Colorado. She worked many years as an LPN, which she fondly enjoyed. She later married W.P. Reese and moved to Fruita, CO. He passed away there in 1979. She continued residing in Fruita until she married Phil Larson of Abingdon on October 15, 1988 and returned to Illinois to reside. She was an active member of the Berwick Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School until her final illness. Alice is survived by her husband, Phil Larson; her son, Dickson (Dee) Weese of Grand Junction, CO; 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; a sister, Anna Derry of Astoria; two stepchildren, Rick (Ann) Larson of Galesburg, Ronda (Danny) DeJaynes of Abingdon, 4 step-grandchildren; 3 step great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews including Ruth Ann Fluke, her longtime caregiver. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Joan Turner, three sisters, Ruth Ebbert, Mary Reneau, Elsie Menees and one brother, Carl Pickering. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am Monday at the Berwick Baptist Church. Rev. Melody Andrews will officiate. Burial will be in Meridian Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 é
