Ana Lee Hoover, 78, of Galesburg, Illinois passed away unexpectedly Sunday, October 29, 2023, at her home.
Ana was born February 19, 1945, in Pittsfield, Illinois the daughter of Richard B. and Della (Foreman) Hoover. She married Arthur P. Kremer, they later divorced. Ana spent over 32 years with her soulmate, Carol J. Forster until her passing October 17, 2019.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Jeff (Sherri) Kremer of Galesburg; Carol’s children, Dean Forster of Tucson, Arizona and Jennifer McMillan of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; her brother, Joe Buchanan of Jacksonville, Illinois and her grandchildren, Alissa (Kyle Bucsa) Kremer, Will Forster and Tori Forster. She is preceded in death by her parents and her partner, Carol Forster.
Ana graduated from East Pike High School in Milton, Illinois and attended Southern Illinois University. Ana worked at Carl Sandburg College in the Learning Resource Center in the 1980’s. She later moved to Tucson, Arizona completing her degree at the University of Arizona. She worked as a Police Crime Analyst in the major offender unit in Tucson for over 20 years. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan and enjoyed reading.
Ana moved back to Galesburg in July 2020 to the Woodridge Supportive Living Center. There she made many friends she considered family. Ana’s family would like to express their gratitude to Woodridge for their excellent care.
Ana’s wishes were to be cremated. Memorials may be made to the Knox County Humane Society. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be offered at www.h-p-w.com.
