Anita E. Leuzzi

88, formerly of 300 N. Jefferson St. Apt. 604 died at 4:45 pm Saturday, March 3, 2007 at the Care Center of Abingdon. She was born on October 3, 1918 in Bronx, New York to Frank and Mary Ippolito Sanfilippo. She married Dominic "Mike" T. Leuzzi. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister. Surviving is one son, Michael (and Carol) Holliday of Abingdon; a granddaughter, Michelle Holliday of Abingdon and one great grandson, Samuel Holliday also of Abingdon; a sister, Lydia Sheridan of Florida. She was a homemaker. She volunteered at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg and was an avid bowler. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society of the church and a member and past president of the Legion of Mary. Cremation was accorded. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday March 7, 2007 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Abingdon followed by the Mass of Christian Burial. Father Joseph Presley will officiate. Private burial will be at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
