Arthur "Gosse" R. Tabb

80 of Abingdon, died at 10:20 am Monday, August 23, 2004 at the Care Center of Abingdon. He was born on March 4, 1924 in Berwick to Walter and Selma Johnson Tabb. He married E. La Vonne Williamson in August of 1948. She preceded him in death on June 22, 1992. Surviving are one son, David (and Karen) Tabb of Abingdon; one daughter, Linda (and Dave) Allison of Amana, IA; one brother, Wayne Tabb of Abingdon; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. He had lived in the Berwick and Abingdon areas all his life. He worked in the Kiln at the Abingdon Pottery for over 30 years retiring in 1986. He was an Army veteran of WW II. He was a member of the Harry E. Wiles American Legion Post #381 in Abingdon. He was of the Methodist Faith. Private family services will be held on Wednesday at the Abingdon Cemetery with Eleanor Landon officiating. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #381. There will be no visitation. Hinchliff-Pearson-West chapel in Abingdon is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Harry E. Wiles American Legion Post #381.
